    Dems just picked up another Senate seat

    Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas has died, according to his family, The Associated Press reports.

    Of course he is a republican.

    The Wyoming governor is a democrat so you know he will pick a democrat to replace the guy. Sucks for Bush.

              Oh please, when Tim Johnson Falls got sick the republicans were frothing at the mouth hoping he would die. Fox News played non-stop coverage of the guy in a rather dire situation, all while asking "If he dies, will this make the democratic senate win pointless?" and all other sick shit.                   I think in Wyoming it works different for a replacement. In most states the gov picks any person to take a senate seat until a special election or next election comes but from this article, the state GOP picks 3 ppl and the Gov a Dem. picks one of those.??

This is the type of voting that permeates the U.S. electoral system. They did a study in the 90's about people voting "the party line." Basically, they did exit polls on the party they voted for, then asked them to name the candidate. The results illustrated that many people were voting by party, not by candidate.

                                                                                                                              To quote your statement: "Learn about your government." Perhaps YOU should learn about the U.S. (not "my") government.
