    GOP stands for Grumpy Old Presidents

    Damn can the GOP get any one young to run for President? Hell 6 of these guys are older than our current President, who is in the middle of his 2nd term, and Clinton who hasn't been President for 6 1/2 years.

    Age of some of the 11 candidates( I'm including Fred Thompson ) if they became President on Jan 20, 2009.

    Ron Paul- 73 years 5 months( will he even by alive by election day?)
    John McCain- 71 years 5 months( a year and a half older than Reagan!!! )
    Tommy Thompson- 67 years 2 months
    Fred Thompson- 66 years 5 months
    Rudy Giuliani- 64 years 8 months
    Tom Tancredo- 63 years 1 month
    Mitt Romney- 61 years 10 months
    Duncan Hunter- 60 years 8 months

          damn McCain doesn't seem 71 at all. i would have guessed 60-62.

          as long at they are healthy what does it matter? Reagan is beloved and thought of as a good president, he had Alzheimer's already while he was still in the White House.

                          The ages I posted is what they would be on Jan 20, 2009 and I erred on McCain he would be 72 and 5 months. He turns 71 this August.

                          Not sure of that, but even more of case getting someone younger.
