I owned a 1969 Triumph 750 Trident when I was about 20. It was a chopper though with a Santee hardtail frame and a glide front end.

I started riding bikes and racing motocross when I was like 15 and stopped when I turned 18.

When I was 18, I got a 1942 H-D 45 c.i. flathead (total chopper: suicide shift, peanut tank, way over front end, a sissy bar that would poke someone's eye out when parked) and I never went back.

I had friends that would let me ride their sportsters in my down time, and I never really felt comfortable on them.

I have thought about getting a Buell or Ducati, but I may be getting too old for that.

What are "marshmellows"?

Pilot an F-16 Fighter or F/A 18 Hornet.

Dirty Franck comes to mind, but I probably feel sorry for him more than dislike.

I can't say who I really dislike, because when I cross his path, I don't want documented proof that it was premeditated.

I have a serious question..... You a motorcycle rider. Ever had any bad accidents?

They were downers, like homemade ludes. We called them marshmellows because they were pretty large tablets and white. We also had M&M's that were pretty much the same but had red splotches in them.

That reminds me, we also had black beauties and dexidrine.

Funny story about black beauties . . . gave some to my buddy's ex. She thought they were downers, so took a few. in reality was heavy dose of speed in each.

The worst I had was in December 1986.

I was going about 50 when a kid pulled out of a driveway in front of me.

I was well familar with the road and figured I could try to go around behind him. My primary concern was the 300' cliff on the other side. I wasn't so sure about that one.

Luckily, the kid made it a non-issue when his brother (a passenger in the car) yelled, "watch out."

He did not know what he was watching out for, he just slammed on the brakes, effectively cutting off my escape route. I slammed into the left rear corner panel, wedging my left leg/foot between my bike and his car before it launched me into space.

I broke my tibia, fibula, three toes and that big flat bone on the top of your foot (shattered that). I got a permanent disability as a result, which gives me a slight limp after a few days of walking around at Internext.

THC was a pharmaceutical pill that we would crush up and snort.

Used to do them back in the days when we had swinger parties out in the Valley. It was pretty insane stuff. I remember doing some, then sitting in this girl's kitchen and I got this overwhelming desire to kill her. No reason, just felt right.

I told her that and we both decided it would be a good time for me to leave. :1orglaugh

yeah, it was, but it happened up in Rolling Hills Estates so the kid was heavily insured.

Well, I stopped doing coke about 15 years ago. Weed has definitely improved, but I don't really consider that a drug.

When I said they were better, I was referring more to the wide variety that we had available.

man, the variety available now is just insane, WAY more than back then

Well, when I was 18 I started working for GTE California. I then became a settlement negotiator/paralegal/office manager for a Beverly Hills law firm.

When I left there I could not find a job that I wasn't classifed as "over qualified" for. I began looking for something I could do with this new fangled Internet and my AOL dial up account.
