Anyone else play "the grocery game"?

I just started doing this shit a little while ago, pretty fun shit

basically, you go to www.thegrocerygame.com and sign up and she sends out the "list" every week

in that list she tells you all the crazy deals you can rack up while grocery shopping

it is pretty fun to play along.....I went to the grocery store tonight and my total was $179.23, after all the coupons and shit I scanned in my total was $102.65

it is like $1 to try it out for 8 weeks, but totally worth it
if you try it, sign up using my email [email protected] - I get free cycles for every 3 people that sign up under me

not really...I ended up getting a few brands that I don't normally buy because I usually buy generic, but other than that our fridge and cabinets look the same

there are a few new things I got because I got them for like $.10 and can't hurt to try...LOL

Damn...saving $80 is compelling. I suck at using coupons, I always forget about them or lose them. Perhaps this game would be a better option

between newspaper coupons, online coupons, those aisle coupons and also paying attention to the kroger "card" savings, yeah

also, my kroger here doubles all coupons up to $.75 all the time

well, this is ALL about coupons

you are using the store sales and coupons together for insane savings

like, this trip, I got 4 boxes of Simply Pasta Salad for FREE because there was a "card" savings, coupon saving and double coupons.....that is one example...there were a few instances of that when I went tonight with various products

the cool thing about that site though, is that she tells you exactly what you need to do

Can I ask why you don't buy generics? Is it a social status thing, or is it just a comfort thing? Most generic foodstuffs are made by the same people who make the retail brand equivalent. Same food, different label. I have not bought “retail” brand foodstuffs in ages.

Thats cool getting the pasta salad for free because of all the added savings. -$80 is always good. Is there a public list on there of what super markets can get you the best advantage? There's no Krogers around here at all.

edit. Ah never mind, I checked it out and it only applies to CVS drug stores in my area, lol. I never go there.

did you not read what I said?

I said I USUALLY BUY GENERICS

I buy the brand name ONLY when I get it in the grocery game, and it is usually 75%+ off

Looks awesome. Unfortunately they don't offer it in Canada. They have it for Safeway just across the border, but not sure the hassles faced crossing back with the items and such.

I bet the people in line behind you hated your guts. I know I would've fainted just by seeing someone rendering $80 worth of coupons in front of me.
