    What is the best way to get affilaites to sign up??

    Ok,

    We are going to be launching a bunch of sites in about a month or so, with an affiliate program. Now, i have been checking out all The other sponsors sites and stuff and have a question for Sponsors and for Affiliates...

    1. Sponsors, What works best for getting affiliates to sign up??

    2. Affiliates, what do you look for when making the decision to sign up for a program?

    We are going to be offering tons of bonuses, prize incentives and stuff like that.... of course. But, what else??

                      Thats all their is to it. If you have crappy content, you'll have to spam every other thread and get maybe 1 new affiliate a day... but if your stuff sells the affiliates will definatley be there.

                          I no longer would sign up with someone new without a track record and a reputation on honesty.

                          Been in this biz too long and had to drop too many sponsors to just sign up and send traffic.

                                                  otherwise you need to rely on people you know to start with
                                                  or have some of those tricky contests to get a few affiliates to signup (although a small percentage will send any traffic)

                                                      Getting affiliates to signup is the easy part...where you have to really do your job is making sure you're providing them support and tools so they actually send you traffic once they signup.

                                                                              the majority of programs (your competitors) have appealing content, high payouts etc. but being available for your affiliates (support) is pretty important IMO

                                                                                  Your right .. I noticed that for the first year we had a lot of smaller Affiliates. The big boys waited for us to build a Rep and to make sure we always paid on time.

                                                                                  There is no rush way to get affiliates .. you have to put out a good product and build respect from the webmasters

                                                                                                  I'll 3rd that AK.....well said SykkBoy. We get tons of new apps everyday, now getting traffic (qulaity traffic) is the real challenge and takes attn. to detail on the part of the affilite program.
