    Measure 3 times cut once..lol

    that is the golden rule for carpentry and i just found out the hard way...lol


    been building my walls in the basement...so just framing the wood..today i screwed together an 8 foot section and then found out i forgot to cut the vertical pieces to the proper length.....sigh

                  yesterday i aligned the vertical pieces on the wrong side...so basically..the top parts were every 16 inches..but the bottoms were every 15 or so

                  stupid shit.

                  ah well..tomorrow i will be on the ball..have to learn..might as well make the rookie mistakes now

                                      yeah i hate doing any kind of carpentry work, i always hire that stuff out. i dont mind putting in hardwood floors or tile because you can cut and be and 1/8 of an inch off and it wont matter.

                                              that is much easier though you are right...also i have done someone elses hardwood floors with them...so im thinking smooth sailing for that....should be doing it this fall
