try to not shoot in hotels if at all possible unless you are going for a street feel, in that case keep it real and get a cheap hotel.Comment

Back in 2000-2001 when I lived in Washington D.C., I would pay $14.00 for a few hours in different pay by the hour hotels sprinkled along Rhode Island Avenue.
Here's a hotel on the corner of Rhode Island Avenue and South Dakota Ave. N.E.
If I didn't go to that one, I would go to one farther up Rhode Island Ave. behind a liquor store:

I like la quinta,free wifi, alot of room in their suites, moderate pricing and a great points program. I prefer shooting before 3pm, always try to get early checkin.
The only people around at that time during the week are cleaning people and they dont give shit. Someone makes a bunch of noise you have no one bitching about it .Comment
