    BKK, thailand webmasters, a question.

How about internet connections nowdays? What's the prices and is it more stable now than a few years ago?

Also, the problem with only staying 30 days at a time. Still possible to pay for someone to bring your passport to the border for a new stamp or you must do that boring trip yourself every month to get new days?

    I'll ask one as well.
What about blocked sites, any sites that a webmaster would use that are blocked?

You're pretty much fucked these days. They have cracked the whip on tourist visas, so unless you have a business or investor visa (or other), you will have to leave after 90 days, and stay gone for 90 days.

The internet is there, but I feel it is unacceptable for real web work. Its almost ok for surfing, but for loading videos or large files... FORGET IT, unless you do it while you sleep over a period of days.

Then.... they have a new law against even using a proxy to access adult content.

Thailand is not the paradise it once was.

You seem to get around what can you recommend for a cheap fun experience?

I have always been there with a legal visa, never had an over stay, never been arrested, do not do drugs, hardly ever drink, I invest in their country, I have bank accounts, I do NOT access adult content while I'm there, I volunteer at a local wat where we care for HIV+ children, and my company also fully sponsors an out-reach program where we take in women who are trying to escape the sex industry or slave trade.

For sure GO there, just saying it's glory days are dwindling and they are making it difficult to legally stay there. However, there are ways around everything, but at least for the first 90 days, you are good to go!

Check that link out. Police have been going a little gaga as of late with everything. Not really the best time to be going to Thailand if you are planing to stay.

Internet connection is easier to get now, but becareful visiting adult content in public. Many sites are blocked, GFY is ok though. You dont need a visa for less than 30 days, up to 30 days you need to do a boarder run to cambodia. If you planning on staying long time and know before hand visit a thai embasy and apply for a tourist visa for 3 or 6 months. They are rather cheap and you only have to leave the country one or two times. I've had a 6 months before, 90 euros and had to leave every 2 months

Or run to Cambodia every 30 days until you hit the 90 days.

They have services that will pick you up, take you there and bring you back. Cambodia border crossings are some of the finest places on earth.

Yeah I think the connection is plenty fast enough if you're surfing or even running a text and pic site . . . but no way is it fast enough to upload large video files.
I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I wish I was drinking wine instead.
