          Mind you, this new law, it is now LAW allows him during an emergency to control all commerce and communication aka the internet. He can shut it up and shut it down.

          Do you have any idea the chaos and loss if the web were shut down for 12-24 hours?

                                                                  Now let's say a disaster, natural or manmade occurs, the 'executive' in charge can do damn well anything he or she wants.

                                                                  Notice I didn't say 'Bush' would. Why? Because if there's a disaster and he's incapable of fulfilling his duties, then Cheney or Nancy Pelosi then becomes the exec and THEY now have that power. Or worse ( if there is worse ) look at the chain of command of who would be president and ask yourself if you would want that person in charge with those powers.
