Here's a great solution to the illegal immigration problem
It would never happen though because it makes too much sense.
In a nutshell, anyone from a 3rd world country who wants to move to the U.S. can, BUT first they have to enlist in the Army for 4 years. (Of course we're talking about people with no criminal backgrounds or ties to terrorist organizations)
Once they've honorably served their 4 years they will be granted permanent residency status, and while serving they will receive all of the pay and benefits that come with military service.
If you're already here illegally, you can enlist or be deported, your choice.
People say it's too expensive to round up all the illegals and send them back, but with our new influx of draftees that can wash clothes, cook meals, etc etc we can fire Halliburton and use the money we save from that to pay the costs of finding and deporting the illegals.
This would solve the immigration problem AND the problem of our military being overextended and overburdened.
