hey, whats that thing about Regions ? DVD says - Region 1 (US/Canada) Will I be able to play it in my Samsung DVD+VCR system ? How can check out what Region my DVD player got ?

so if i got my DVD player in europe it won't play Region 1 discs ?

If it is hardcoded to play only europe (region 2) you are correct. Some players are multi-region and you can change around.
