I pay almost that amount and the only pre-existing condition I had was migraines which they didn't cover for the first 24 months.
People have married for dumber reasons than health insurance. Wanted to have a kid, needing someone to take care of them, being afraid to be alone, wanting to make Mommy and Daddy happy, needing a date every weekend, etc.
