And as far as your outsourcing comment, that may be a possibility, but the same could be said for so many types of jobs. There is still a demand for native english speakers over outsourced foreign employees, and not everything is being outsourced to India.

That is cool. You have your opinion and I have mine. I personally know many couples that own multiple websites that run them by themselves. I do not think a lot of people know that they are the ones running the websites themselves. Plus the amateur market is huge and most of those websites are ran but the content and his or her spouse.

I was at the University of Maryland working on a masters in software engineering...When I was halfway through the program, the IT market dropped out from under me...I know FIRSTHAND how it is to waste time and money getting training for a job that can be outsourced.
