Is nice man!!! Congrats!!!!!
|
Looks good. Def. make him clean it up though.
|
Not trying to be a dick, but that looks like shit and the tribal feel of it is really a dumb fad that people are regretting.
|
as a person with maybe 12 percent of their body covered in tattoos and a stint working in a very respected tattoo shop please trust me when i say that tattoo goo is not what you want to use on your tattoo. all that you need to do is keep it clean with soap and water and use a normal amount of regular non-scented lotion with no fancy/weird ingredients. lubriderm is perfect.
tattoo goo is just some gimmick. and if you decide to have that tattoo touched up then go to another artist. if an artist can't make straight lines on the first shot then he won't be able to do it on the second shot either. a tattoo is on your body forever-- you want it to be perfect. an unskilled or out of practice tattoo artist can leave scars on your body. if you need a recommendation for good artists in your area let me know. and congrats on getting a first piece. xoxoxo |

well I didn't get it because it was fashionable, so I don't really care if tribal is "in". As for the design, I did that myself...it represents something important to me... as for the quality of work, well there I have little experience.... but I really like it and that's really the only important thing....and now that the swelling and redness are gone, it looks exactly like I wanted it to :) |

Thanks..... and ya I'm just using vitamin E on it and it seems to be fine..... not sure how many artists you know in Costa Rica, but hey, if you do, feel free to pass me the info :) |
vitamin e oil in a concentrated form might not be the greatest idea on what is essentially a wound. i would really suggest sticking with a simple moisturizing lotion like lubriderm.
and i'll ask around about costa rica. there is someone good in every area. line work is really important. overtime tattoos age and the ones that look the best after time goes by are the ones done by people who can truly call themselves tattoo artists. they know how to put clean lines on the body. every guy that can draw is not a tattooer, you know? it's def a skill. lines are so important. i have a mermaid on my right forearm that i got done at the studio where they filmed Inked for A&E. the guy took four hours doing it because he wanted the lines to be perfect. |

But you're right...as long as you're happy with it, that's really all that matters. But I would definitely try to get the lines straightened out a bit :winkwink: |
