Dude, it depends on several factors.
How big is the pool? Is it heated by electric or gas? How much is electricity/gas where you are? In the summer, in British Columbia it used to cost me about $500 a month, maybe more, to keep the pool heated like a bathtub. That was a small pool, like 80,000 gallons or something.

My friend and I were having a debate
I told him that I think it will cost less than 15$ a day to heat up a pool using electricity in the WINTER (so from 0 to about 33 degrees celcius) did I lose my bet or what? |

Oh in winter, we're not talking a few degrees then, we're talking from freezing point, that would run quite a bit more.

I don't even think the heater could do it, heating several hundred litres of water by 33 degrees is huge.

It will cost much more than $15 to go from cold to swimming temperature with electricity in the middle of the winter.

Yeah not in a day, not an electric heater. I used a gas heater to heat a pool from 0 to 30+ in the dead of winter for a new years party once. Turned it on full the day before.

Get a solar heater, was about 5k to install but then free heating after that. They are awesome. Pool is already at 84 degrees, on the real hot days gets over 90 degrees easy.

How big is your solar battery? I went with the setup when my sauna gets heated, so does the pool (kind of sucks, I know). Am looking for alternatives...

In minnesota a hot tub can run $10/day or more with electricity to keep it at a decent temp. So you are way off on a big pool.
