Unless the defense used is that the whole "bet" was just a joke and McDonald's was suppressing Freedom of Speech.

I've actually seen "bets" like this before that were embraced by the corporation... the one I am thinking of had someone working in a Dairy Queen, I think. I can't remember when or where though.

Actually, wasn't it the guy who owns the Dallas Mavericks? Didn't he make a comment about the refs not being smart enough to work in a Dairy Queen or something, and as his "apology," he worked there for a day?

It wouldn't be hard to tell if he is for real or not assuming you can tell which area of the US someone is in just from their IP address.

I don't know if that is possible. But if it is, McDonalds' head office is in Oakbrook, Illinois. So this guy should be in the Chicago area too.
