				 | It's complicated, but you cry alot and 64 bit has less driver/device support. So go with 32. |

				 | I have had no problems with 64. if you have a 64 bit processor your shooting yourself in the foot getting the 32 bit version. So as long as you dont use Rvidia, ACUS type brands. All brands like asus, nvidia, etc have great drivers, ati is about the only one I would stay away from with 64 bit.

				 | Well I've already ran Home edition and the Premium edition cause I've already gone through 2 laptops this year (can't seem to make 'em last more than a few months) Premium is wayyyyy cooler. hands down. But you probably already knew that. Home edition and premium both support 64 bit while the starter only supports 32 bit

You didnt like it, so thats what made it suck? NOTHING is slower for me to do in vista, most things are quicker, and everything looks better.

				 | I have Vista 64 on my new PC. Still prefer my Macs though but Vista is not a lot different from XP for day to day stuff. I have noticed it runs faster than XP but that may be just because this is a new, clean machine without much added.

				 | Go with Ubuntu Linux ! Vista has big time problems with DRM built within its kernel... displaying content that do not meets its own requirements, and will not display HD videos without distorting or bluring such... Vista is supposed to be more secure then XP Pro, however, XP pro can be just as secure as Vista if you know what your doing... I would suggest using Ubuntu Linux or any version of Linux/gui or Unix over Windows Vista or XP, however If you are playing 3D video games that requires Windows for your video games then run Windows XP Pro... and linux/gui for the rest of your apps. Ubuntu linux does support both 32 and 64 bit computers; and is FREE... Good luck, |

				 | Vista Ultimate comes with 2 cd's. The 32 bit and 64bit. I have the 64bit and I don't have any problems yet. I built a new computer to go along with it. |

				 | Do you have a cpu with 64bit arcithecture ? Also if you are not planning on doing advanced calculations with software like mathematica or something. 64bit would probably only give problems and no advantage. |

It's not just hardware. 64bit OS cannot run ANY 16 bit code. This means that apps that still rely on it (yes... plenty do) will not run. Also... driver support, even from a lot of top brands, is shakey at best. I bought Vista Ultimate ... it comes with two DVD's. One 32bit... one 64. So if the time comes, I will be able to upgrade. One more thing ... Applications have to be 64bit to actually take advantage of the 64bit technology. Since those apps are still few and far between ... there's very little reason to go 64bit. That's the truth. Don't buy into 64bit until it's standard.

				 | I thought I would hate vista, but bought a new processor so figured why not, can always uninstall. I haven't found too many major annoyances, except maybe the big ass full screen bullshit when you ctrl-alt-delete Also I haven't figured out how to make the 3D alt-tab like you see on the commercials But other than that it's really just eyecandy, I hardly see anything new, things just have more options. Oh also I don't like how many programs load IE automatically when I click a link, but I never use IE... Why won't it just load firefox? Still, give it a shot, it does look better. |

I had MASSIVE problems getting my new system up and running with Vista. But now that my problems have been ironed out ... I'm sorry, but it's MUCH better than XP. MUCH.
