Anyone know what kind of spider this is? [pic]

It's got white dots on it or something. Pic is shitty quality, my camera sucks.

I better go buy some of those bug spray bombs if these lil fuckers are crawling around here lol...

they are called Night Killers. in spite of the name, they are not lethal to humans and there are no records of any human dying from a Night Killer bite, so you can rest easy. the bites themselves however are extremely painful and always result in the temporary paralysis of the left 1/2 of the victems body, which rarely last more than 4-6 months. usually they bite people in their sleep as they are attracted to body heat and a humans pulse and react defensively to any sudden movement.

they are also very pretty.

The Tree-dwelling Funnel-web Spideris the most dangerous spider in Australia, and among the most dangerous spiders in the world. They are found from northern New South Wales to southern Queensland, usually in heavily timbered areas which are rarely entered by man. Interestingly, not all creatures are affected by the poison. For example, a rabbit can be injected with a large quantity of Funnel-web spider venom without ill effect. A small dose can be lethal to humans. The male of this spider is five times more dangerous than the female.

RUNNN!!!!

unfortuneately, they live in packs of 1500-4000. where there is one, there is often 1000s more. once you are infested, there is really no getting rid of them. you just have to learn to live with them and treat them with respect. also, they are very vindictive... be ready for retribution. they hunt in packs and are ambush predators. they'll probably forget about what you did after a few months, but it would be wise to just be very careful and lay low for a while.

being clever predators, they employ a wide variety of tactics to test any living threat or potential predator and its capabilities. as you can see, you are already falling for one of the Night Killers oldest tricks and you began underestimating the enemy right out of the gate.

Dude... seriously. dont let your guard down. you're in a bad spot.

really hate to see this happen to people

Spiders are good luck... they keep other insects at bay.

Next time, don't kill it, just capture it with a glass and piece of paper, and release it in a rose bush outside or some shit.

Assuming you don't have kids, spray your shit down yearly with some sort of 'barrier defense' insecticide, and you won't have to worry about those things coming inside.

I don't really like bugs all that much. But I guess spiders aren't so bad, they're just some scary looking mofo's.

you shouldn't have killed it, they are pretty intelligent in their own way, and would do it's best to move away to safety if you threatened it

I had the exact spider in my room just the other day, it did creep me out as it was large like that and a little furry with the white spot on its butt and white spots on its oversized front legs

I took a long broom and the spider moved away from it while keeping its eyes on it as I coaxed it down the wall, onto the carpet, and then across the carpet to the doorway and outside......

They are a type of jumping spider, and would only bite if you squashed into it out of self preservation.... but the reality is that all spiders can bite, just some are worse than others.

just don't get bit by a Brown Recluse...

This victim saw the spider on her foot as she got out of the shower. She eventually had to have her leg amputated below the knee. Bathtubs and showers are common locations for these spiders because they get trapped within the smooth surfaces
