Flucking bastids!

Recently we have noticed that your web site(s) is consuming a
disproportionate amount of server resources (including memory and/or cpu
time). Because of this, we have had to move your account off of the
shared hosting server to an auxilliary server. We now request that you
consider purchasing a Managed or other Dedicated Server in order to
continue hosting with 1&1 Internet.

The decision to move your account was made by the system administrators
in order to improve the quality of service for the rest of our clients
on the shared server from which you were previously hosted. The
resources consumed by your account threatened the ability of that server
to capably operate as as a shared host, so it was required that your
account be moved in order to mitigate server load. Though we could move
your site back to the original shared hosting server, it is not
recommended. Your account activity has demonstrated that your site
deserves its own server to better suit its performance needs.

Please visit 1and1.com to review the server products we offer. You will
have one (1) month to make a decision and migrate your account over to a
1&1 server or another host provider. You can choose to return your
account back to the shared server, provided that you take steps to
reduce the load generated by your websites. If the account has to be
moved off the shared server system again you will only have the option
of purchasing a dedicated server account to continue hosting with 1&1
Internet.

Then right after that email came this one....

It has come to our attention that you have recently executed and/or
attempted to execute an unauthorized service on your web space:

./proxy/index.php

web proxy

I have chmoded your proxy site to 0. You are not allowed to run a php
proxy in a shared hosting environment.

Such services are not permitted to run on 1&1's web spaces:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/Gtc

7.13.
You agree and warrant that any and all material(s) of every kind which
you store in Web Site Space or transmit using 1&1's Services or
Equipment shall at all times be free from any and all damaging software
defects, including, but not limited to, software "viruses", "worms",
"Trojan Horses," and other source code anomalies, which may cause
software or hardware disruption or failure, reduced computer operating
speed, or compromise any security system. You agree that you will not
attempt to access the 1&1 Equipment or web site or another customer's
web site without authorization.

This is also stated explicitly to you when you connect via SSH to your
account:

"Shell access is provided for web development and not for running
irc-bots, arbitrary tcp/udp servers (e.g. gameservers) or cracking
toolkits. Disregard leads to suspension of your contract."

Please remove the software at this time and do not attempt to use it
again. Be aware that further infractions can result in the suspension or
termination of your contract.

So, of course, being the hot tempered Cajun that I am, I responded with....

1) Chmod the site back!
2) No where does it say you can't run a proxy!
3) IF IT'S NOT CHANGED BACK, YOU CAN CANCEL ALL CONTRACTS IMMEDIATELY!

Fuck that! I wasn't going to run a proxy off of my servers! Hellz no! They didn't state it in their TOS so fuck them!! I'll put it up on one of my servers now.
