My highschool Sweetheart and me had one of the Jet's songs as "Our Song". It was "You Got It All".

Sarah_Jayne 05-07-2007 07:28 AM

I had a Jets poster on my wall ..if that was 86 I was 10..I have distinct memory of that playing at a roller rink party I went to...I think I may have requested it.

The thing is ...they were all brothers and sisters and there were still a ton of of other siblings that weren't in the band.

Now that I know more about UK pop culture from the same period I think they were the US version of UK's Five Star..who were of course trying to be the Jacksons.

Sexsitesurfer 05-07-2007 07:39 AM

I was 10 or 11 but I don't think I ever heard it. Maybe it wasn't so big in the UK or I didn't pay enough attention..

I do remember the rescue rangers theme as my younger brother watched and it was really annoying.

I also loved 5 Star!

Sydney Sin 05-07-2007 07:44 AM

That would make me 5 but I dont recall that tune.

JenniDahling 05-07-2007 07:45 AM

OMG!!!!!! That song brought back some college memories!!!!! I had the biggest crush on a rookie basketball player who I used to think of everytime I heard that song. I invited him over for dinner one night, cooked us a great dinner and he spent the night... but never even tried to kiss me. Later I found out he was a virgin and was excited about spending the night at a girl's apt for the first time but was too terrified to make a move.

ADL Josh 05-07-2007 07:46 AM

Nobody I have ever met in the UK has known The Jets so I don't think they made it here.
