Yeah, can you believe a journalist gets more info than anyone. I think they should be paid by the government.

What are the chances the US government planted those tapes so that CNN would find it? Makes it easier to get funding to weed out terrorists. Not saying this is the truth, but it does make it easier. Besides, do you think any part of Al Quada would have gone untouched by US military? I doubt it. Just my opinion...

Very slim chances. CNN fell under critisism early in the invasion for searching abandoned homes. It was succinctly pointed out to them that what they were doing was a war crime, though I doubt they desisted.

It is impossible to find every fucking thing, especially with the amount of troops the US has sent there. The majority of the troops are not going around looking for terrorists, they are protecting Camp Rhino, Aircraft Ground Support, Logistics, Communications, etc. Then there are the handfull of Special Forces troops that have the responsibility of rooting out the terrorists. Afganistan is full of caves and mountains, easily preventing the capture of Osama Bin Laden and equipment.

The tapes show that the terrorist organization replicated a small Western-style city on a hillside in eastern Afghanistan, using canvas and stone.
Hahahaha, something about that just doesn't scare me.

When you added the RET, I made a mistaken assumption.

Well...the list is really to long to go into as I had different jobs over thirty years time.

All of my years were spent in a combat unit of one sort or another, by choice.

I have been straight leg Infantry, Airborne Pathfinder, wore a Ranger tab among other things.

The highest rank I attained was an O-3.

I fought in the Korean war twice and in Vietnam three times.
