    You have to admire the loyalty of the GFY membership

    I can not think of another site on the Internet that could run so slow, for so long, and still have people flocking there daily.

              I agree Baddog! And even more interesting is how much money this site generates. It's not like Playboy don't have the money to fix this problem...they just chose not to. It's a big slap in the face to all of us from our friends at Playboy

                  There's a LOT of horribly horribly slow sites that are popular. Atleast in finland, the biggest communities here are fucking HORRIBLE..

                                  To be realistic, I don't think that Vbulletin was written with the type of workload that GFY puts onto it. IMHO, it is impressive that it works at all.

                                  That being said, I think a selective breeding program for the gerbils might help to speed things up (that or a significantly faster SQL server... the currrent one spends too much time in the ditch)
