Most likely it won't do anything. But I still will not pump on the 15th.

BUMP bump.........................
|
Bad dog and Aaron have a point. what will 1 day do. But the answer is not to buy a hybrid either. Any idea on why there are so few available? Because the gas corporations pay BIG money to have the car companies NOT produce them.

and for anyone who wants to cut prices and make a stance, without going on a bike or buying a hybrid, just get a car that runs on diesel and put cheap olive oil in the tank, In bulk, it's far cheaper than diesel, but because fuel tax is a major source of revenue for govts, it's also illegal....

People nowadays are too, "me me me" and too spoiled to do what it would take to make a difference...
Look at all that the gov't has done over the last few years and nobody said much of anything about it.. Not enough to put a dent in the difference anyway.. Until enough people band together and are willing to sacrafice for the long term good of things, the corporations will just keep raising their prices, fattening their wallets, and boasting about their bottom line.. No different than the adult industry... With all the 'wares that are pissing people off, nobody is doing a thing to stop it.. other than bitch on gfy.. If ya can't band together to save your business, ya sure won't band together to make a difference in the gas prices... IMO |

Aaron, I've always liked you , but you are being a jerk right now. Send me an email and I'd be happy to pull my tax write-off reciepts as well as show you the numerous walks I've done. Why would you even ask me that? Are you trying to be rude? Quote:

I'm sorry if you took it in another manner. But, I do give you credit. You drive a motorcycle, so you are doing better than I when it comes to not buying gas. Listen, I'm not trying to get into some huge drama thread over this. I just made a post cause someone else shared it with me. And I thought it was kinda cool that people were trying to do something good, even if it doesn't make that big of a difference at the end. Its more about making an effort than solving a problem. Its really that simple. |

$3.OO a gallon....I think these is the highest rate for gas in the world
|
Bump for the cause. We are taking it in the ass in Phoenix $3.28 a gallon for premium
|
That would be the dumbest protest ever.
If you don't go to the gas station on the 15th, you'll go the day after that. The problem is the elasticity of almost zero in the demand for gas. |

The thinking was that Shell would have to eventually lower their prices, which would then cause the other stations to lower theirs, resulting in a gas war. I've seen it passed around maybe 3 or 4 times in the past 6 years or so. It has never once worked. |
Interesting idea but doubt it's gonna happen.

Probably one of the best things that could happen is for gas prices to hit something like $6 a gallon for Americans.
THEN MAYBE we would all finally get serious about doing something about our addiction to OIL! It's called: SHOCK TREATMENT! |
