NO AMOUNT OF BAITING WILL BRING ME BACK , so have fun guys .

But first of all I'd like to explain how this all started.
Over the course of two years Mark did everything and promised everything to get the lousy designer MGK down to orangeville , And one day he posted his Audi S4 on GFY and I hit him up and told him what a nice car it was , and he offered it to me as a sign on bonus .. I thought that if he was willing to that , this must be a great guy , but he never replied to my answer then and posted on GFY looking for a designer , I was a little confused and hit him up saying I'd take the job .. He told me the car was sold , but I didn't care so much and still thought this might be a good opportunity to make it big in a great company , as I had so much respect for the almight mark hurson .. after all , he's in the bro club!

So we went back and forth about numbers and the offer was 40k a year ( at this time i was clearing nearly double with WEG and NO exclusive contract ) I told mark I was concerned about the low wage , but he assured me it was a starting point and soon enough I'd be makin 6 figures and living the life..

I accepted thinkin I could take marks word as good.
Once I got there it was a different

For those of you that don't know , I was hired to Run Adultdesignservice for GTS , I was promised an executive office , and assitant and all the percs of working at GTS , None of which even existed

Once I got there they didn't even have a computer for me, And once they did find one in a closet somewhere it wasn't fast enough to do anything , so I started bringing parts from home to build a suitable system,
Unfortunatly all software was cracked or illegal on this system and lead to many unfortunate situations while working such as PS totally shutting down on me and a variety of bugs. I'm pretty sure StuartD will confirm this , as I lent him some ram and a keyboard for his computer.

My work was excellent and I was constantly commended by all upper management , Except we had a little problem

My paycheck was $1152 , and I had to pay my rent ( to mark ) at $1200 , so every two weeks I'd simply sign the back of my check and hand it back on payday, I started having severe problems with money due to this , and as anyone knows .. once you're in a hole .. you're fucked.

So I started booking work on the side to make things work ( this was cleared by upper management ) Which ulitmately got me fired ..

I was fired for what mark ?
a disagreement over wages ? Too bad I wouldn't let you take 75% of my design income eh , it woulda worked out much better I'm sure.

I paid my rent late every month that I worked for GTS , After that however suddenly I found I was able to pay on the first like c clock work .. expect 1 time I went to Hurson property in Orangeville ontario to pay my rent and his staff had left by 3pm , it was paid the next day.

Right before Xmas mark notified me that the lease on the house was expiring and I could either resign my own lease ( I never had one , mark NEVER co signed He leased the house for me , and when I was moved to orangeville I was never told I'd be required to paint before I left , and yes he knows I smoke) or I could move my family , So I did..
I didn't want to be stuck in OV for another year for nothing , as it was a total flop and only brought me the lowest wages I've seen in years.

Janis would confirm this I'm sure , Except Mark has fired her aswell,
MGK , Chad , Robbie Rye , Spenser Were all fired in the last year , 2 of which can confirm my story , The rest quit ... ( or want to ) as I still talk to alot of marks staff on a regular basis.

I was in the house for a year, Paid you $1200 rent for January and left on January 5th - Keep the change.

Smoke damage from smoking and kid grime etc on walls is wear and tear no matter how you look at it, there was no problem with me smoking in the house , I was told that upon movin .. but now it's different cause we don't work together any more.


v Broken window, several damaged screens - existed when we got there. City will confirm this... Infact the CITY broke the front window when they were trying to get them open... cause they wouldn't open .. 100 years of paint around them.

v Painted/stenciled some of the rooms - Sorry, Wife added some colour to the kids room. Can't find a pic sorry.

v Scratches on wood floor - Sure a few .. but they sure weren't scratched when we moved in.

and as you'll notice in these pics , the floor was in immaculate shape to begin with, that's all new scratches </sarcasm>

v Filthy carpets (don?t know if they?re stained or not)
Stained upon moving in .. but yes my puppy didn't make it much better.



v Addition of several wooden shelves onto the walls - Shelf was there when we moved in .. Funny you couldn't tell it's 100 years old like the house, NO other shelving was added. Heres a pic . Happened to catch it when my dog was doing something funny.



v Furniture (including 2 couches, mattress and a huge aquarium) left behind - Yep, The dog couch was left behind ( it was there when we got there too and trashed already - left by previous person ) , and I think it was pretty evident the aquarium broke on the way into the truck

Those are the 2 couches, The pic was taken at my going home party .. AS you can see total pig sty. They're gonna look worse in DH's pics as we ripped the cushions off and used the to secure a few things in the truck.

v Paint damaged in most rooms - Think We covered this , but list it twice for more effect..

v Bathroom is disgusting I'd be curious to see how much of 50 years of hard water stains You were able to clean off.. In fact I tried everything including a wire brush to clean that fucking toilet , and the porcelain started flaking off .. So I gave up.

v Damage to the newel post is severe - Agreed .. Fell down the stairs with a TV , and then the dog got at it.

v Light fixtures missing - No idea what this is about

v Cables run in various areas of the house - Call rogers and bitch .. I ran no wires ;)

v Food left in fridge/freezer ? stove is dirty - Oh no , not a frozen bag of potatoes and a bacardi mix!

v Kitchen cabinet damaged -- Was broken .. Wifey's fix attempt didn't go so well.

v Many of the baseboards and doors have been painted-- Think We covered this , but list it ONE MORE for more effect..


Oh , and mark is right about the Dentist a few days after we got there steph had an absese tooth , and Sarah paid $200 for the work to be done a, which was supposed to be reimbursed them after THEY PUT THE PAPER WORK IN , cause the benefits hadn't kicked in yet. So if you didn't get the check .. guess ya shoulda filed the paper work like ya said.

One other thing ,
It's the first today , My rent is paid ( at 9am soon as the bank opened ) .. I bought the kids ALL new bikes and helmets ( x3 ) 4 days ago and through a $500 birthday party for my kid last weekend , his gift an Ipod.

sounds like I'm having trouble living now doesn't it.

I'm not a baller , but I get by .. and that's what matters.

I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but here in California, when you sign a lease it usually includes a security deposit to cover damages/repair.

The contract usually covers wear and tear, pets, smoking, and other such issues which are being argued and disputed in this thread.

Re-painting, carpet cleaning and such, usually fall on the landlord.

If there are disagreements when the lease is up, there is usually a clause for how that is to be dealt with (arbitration, civil court, etc).

Also, most employers know better than to publicly fight with ex-employees, because of the potential legal ramifications (and they should have learned at some point that when you fling shit, you inevitably get some on you).

Anyway, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think this is going to be settled on GFY.

Yeh I don't know how it works in Canada but thats a pretty standard procedure here. They usually do the picture thing and a checklist... then the deposit is supposed to cover damage (yes, sometimes the owner gets screwed), if there is no or minimal damage, the tenant will receive money back.

On board "fights" between employers and employees is really treading in shallow water. Again, I don't know Canadian law, but here in the States an employer has to be extremely careful about what they say regarding previous employees due to legal risk.

If he were in the US, he'd probably have a lawsuit or two already. He's said more than he ever should have.
