Yeah, its about england, but set in the 1980s, its a tale of a young lad whos getting bullied, and he gets taken in by a group of skinheads...
He finds an identity, by becoming a skinhead, but things soon get a bit out of hand... Its interesting to say the least... But it somehow leaves an 'unsatisfying' taste in the mouth... Just wondered if others felt the same... |

Yeah, the ending did kinda suck didnt it ?
I guess I was kinda expecting another "quadrophinia", or "breaking glass", or someother kinda cult / youth movie of the 80's but it just fizzeled out... That said though, I was given a much deeper insight into the movie last night, as i happened to catch the south bank show on ITV which was all about it... apperntly the kid in the movie 'sean fields' was supposed to be the director 'shane meadows' so with that in mind, it kinda made sense... As it was based on his own autobiographical experiences, that kinda explained the ending a lot more... Anyway, thanks for replying... Interesting to hear your views... |
