    Help - Newbie Wants To Find Work

    Hey there everybody...
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can promote myself as an Assistant Webmaster. I have about two years experience and am now able to take on more work.
    If you have any ideas, contact me at [email protected], or you can check out my site http://www.sandrasdesk.com

    Thanks
    Sandra

    I think your question is a little silly

    I recommend you to adjust your site for a start

      Since I am new to this, I guess I am just going to have to ask outright why you think my question sounds silly?
      I am an individual with a variety of experience in adult sites and I am looking for work. It was an honest and sincere question. I am hard-working, dependable and can provide an excellent reference.
      I know that there must be webmasters out there who are looking for someone with my skills. If this is the wrong place/forum, can you suggest an alternate one?
      As for adjusting my site, what exactly do you mean?

        Nice site...however, here's some suggestions:
        1) Have the links open up in the same window (a lot webmasters have more than one window open at any given time & opening a new one can be annoying)

        2) What on earth is that flashing pic supposed to be? It gives me a headache...How about just a nice plain pic of a desk...

        3) I like the color scheme. However, why not go for a desk color theme such as brown & other earth tones...

        4) And, lastly, almost everybody here at GFY won't help unless you show your tits

        Just my 4 cents & good luck...

          Keep your shirt on. Let me give you my first impression.

          You've been doing this for two years and you are using stuff like coffee cup and arles as your strong points? I've have never touched a lick of HTML up until 8 months ago and I am using Dreamweaver like a champ. My site is not about to win any design awards, but yours is a little on the low-maintenance side. Mind you, I am not knocking coffee cup, just that I think most people are a bit Dreamweaver heavy over here.

          I concur on the animated gif on you index page. WTF is that?

          Okay, now to be constructive...

          What EXACTLY are you offering? What are your past professional experiences as it relates to what you are offering? Assistant Webmaster is a pretty broad statement. Sell yourself, what are you offering assistance in. I don't think I need an assistant webmaster. Convince me I am wrong.

            Hey Jamdin

            Thanks for your comments. And BTW, it's worth more than 4 cents.

            Let me take them one at a time;

            1) I'm not sure exactly how to do this. I'll try and figure it out. Unless someone out there wants to take pity on me and help!

            2) Consider the flashy thing gone. It gives me a headache too!

            3) The only reason I picked those colors was to emphasize that I am indeed a female. I'll play with them and see what I can come up with!

            4) I flashed you my tits! Did you get a good look?

            thanks,
            Sandra

              Thanks for your comments.

              Here is the deal:
              For the past two years I have done contract work for a webmaster. The projects have ranged from adding his sites to friends pages and top-lists, daily posting of pics, managing some of his sites and reviewing signups, preparing and uploading the weekly site updates, and many more things.

              The programs listed on my site are simply the ones that he prefers to use. But, I am a fairly smart person and can easily learn any program that is neccessary.

              If a webmaster out there needs some work done, whether it is a small job or large, I can get it done.

                  I've thought about setting up my own adult site. I know how to do it all. The problem is that it just wouldn't work for me at this time.
                  Most of you webmasters do this full time. You live, eat, and breathe this stuff to the point that it is your life.
                  For me, I have a life beyond this. I am a stay at home mom who homeschools my two children. I also work from home on a part-time basis. I need a secure income based upon the hours that I work.
                  WEBMASTERS, if you are turning down work because you simply can't take on any more, then I am your answer! I can take on some of your work load. Whether it is traffic generation, site updates, or the grunt work, I can get it done.
                  I can provide an EXCELLENT reference from the webmaster that I do contract work for. My efforts bring him in more money than it costs to pay me. Doesn't that sound like a good thing?

                    First of all how can you look for webmaster work if you don't even read html.

                    It took me less than 5 nano seconds to view source on your index.html and see the links have target windows.

                    If you want to have the new page open over the old page then you have to

                    a. change the target destination

                    or

                    b. just remove the target.

                    for example:

                    Your code for the 'traffic generation link'

                    onmouseover="window.status='Traffic'; return true"
                    onmouseout="window.status='Traffic'"
                    href="http://www.sandrasdesk.com/traffic.html"

                    target=_blank <------ this opens a new window

                    FONT
                    face=arial size=3 B Traffic Generation /B /FONT /A /CENTER

                    I have removed the >< to allow the code to appear here.

                    I have been doing this for a little while and for the life of me I can't figure out how you users of html editors can do this without being able to read simple html!

                    Sandra,

                    I would be interested in talking to you, if you are reasonably priced?

                    I have new clients I could resell your traffic generation help to.
