Right now, I'll have to say Detroit vs. Phoenix will be the outcome. One thing I love about basketball is that you never know! :2 cents:

Purple Haze

They just won a big game.

Mmmm... Farmar already starts over Parker. Parker should go, so should half of the Lakers right now.

See you all next year. :boid

I don't know what playoffs you are watching, but LA is down 3-1. They aren't going to beat the Suns three times in a row.

Sure but thats a recent development, I'm saying make it more permanent. I think he's got some skills.

Well my friend, your Lakers gave it one hell of a run .... NOT j/k:winkwink:

I might save my pitcher choice till we get to Mexico or overseas. The beer in the states sucks.

And its always a pleasure to chat with you. I look forward to my new adventures with Mansion.:thumbsup

Pitcher NON US is all yours. Best team won indeed! :thumbsup

Now, I am putting a hex on Smush Parker, Kupchak, Radmanovic, Kwame and Sasha and hope never to see them on the Lakers again.

Calling you in a few to give you all the details we discussed :)

I hear ya. I think the Lakers are in need of a big man. Lamar is good, I really like him, but they need a young animal. I thought Kwame would be that guy.

I'm running out for a couple hours but I'll be around later to chat about some biz.

JP513 05-03-2007 03:28 PM

I'm surprised the biggest number of voters has Chicago as the East champion against Phoenix. I agree Phoenix will will represent the West, but I think it's Detroit all the way. Chicago is fucking formidable as shit, but it's not their year yet and they just don't have the veteran leadership and experience to win it all. Having said that, this run will give them lots of experience and they will contend 2008-2012.

Detroit vs. Phoenix.

Detroit in 7.

(But I love the Washington Wizards--NBA champs in 2009.:thumbsup

Good point; I agree. I think the same can be said for the Wizards as well. As great as Arenas, Butler and Jamison are together, they won't go deep without a dominant defensive presence in the paint.

Rodent 05-03-2007 03:39 PM

Spurs Suns should be a good series, I hope Duncan and crew stick it to Nash and his boys.

Even though Golden State is up 3-2, I think the Mavs will take the next 2. But . . . I hope I'm wrong. I'll be watching tonight though.

But no chance against the Suns .... but it would be a sweet series.

G.S. can play with anyone, but beating Dallas doesn't mean they have a good chance. I think they just match up well against Dallas. They'd have a much tougher job against the Suns--no chance, as you say.

Ok, but it's fair to say he's talented. I know, everyone waits for much more from a number one pick...

He sure didn't convince me this year that he was the man. Maybe he just needs more time to grow up and become a more dominating force in the league.

No doubt. That's why the great Michael Jordan made him the first high school kid to be selected #1 overall in the draft. Talented beyond belief. A Chris Webber type talent. But faster. And with less heart.:1orglaugh

King Adam 05-04-2007 08:46 PM

Okay ... so its one. Another team has been elimated from the playoffs. Goodbye to Toronto and hello to the Nets. Hate to rain on their parade but Cleveland is going to hand them a wake up call.

You keep telling yourself that, King Adam.:winkwink: But you're going to be disappointed. What do you think I kept telling myself for FOUR YEARS? If he isn't an all-star after his 6 seasons in the league with all that talent, he's a pussy. Plain and simple.

At most, he could be good for 9 boards per game in 35-40 minutes and a solid defender. In other words, a role player.

Kwame Brown::321GFY, ya' pussy!

KingAdam I totally agree. But then they'll get to the Conference Finals and get eaten up by Pistons, who are simply too good. Still, for Cleveland to make the Conference Finals is a major achievement for them. I wish the Wizards could have done it.:Oh crap

I don't know. I actually like the Bulls to pull it off. Detroit is pretty much the same team as in the past. They have gotten a bit older, a bit slower and a bit more complacient. I think the Bulls have a huge edge here. I bet they win in 5.

And Cleveland is one of those silent but deadly teams. They always play up to the team they are playing. They can play with anyone except for one team .... ie the Suns :2 cents:

Bulls in the Finals? Soon, but not this year I don't think.

Pistons . . . same teams & same major parts, but they're not that old. Webber isn't the explosive player he was 10 years ago, but he's just as valuable to a team if not more so. So I think this is a MAJOR addition for them and will take them to another title. Just look at how well the team has done since Webber got on board.

The rest of the crew? Tayshaun? Rasheed? Rip? All still in their prime. Well, Rasheed may have slipped but only a tad. This team is too savvy not to be able to make the Finals. I pick them to win it all, but beating Phoenix will be tough. Maybe I revise it to 7 games.

I agree here about Cleveland. They can play with anyone. When they are clicking, they are tough to beat. It's just not their time yet.

Well in fairness to him, it was because of the HUGE expectations of the first ever high school player to be selected #1 overall. So I can give him a break . . .

BUT . . . don't you ever fall in love with Kwame, because in the end, all he'll end up doing is breaking your heart:( , like a hot bitch does to guys all the time.http://www.danchimviet.com/php/image...oken-heart.gif

Was actually pretty fun watching them run over Detroit.

Good call on the Cavs. No way did I see them getting past Detroit but LeBron is just fucking off the chain.

FINALS: Spurs in 6.
