I've had nothing but problems with Trillian over the past few years. ICQ 6 is exactly what I needed. People actually see me online now...

If your not using ICQ 6 I suggest you try it.

It sucks big time if you have a large history and a lot of contacts.

My history is for 2000+ contacts and when people contact me, I normally check up on the history to see why they have contacted me in the past.
With ICQ 6 my computer freezes when I try to look at the history, I changed back to 5.1 within a couple of hours using ICQ6

It's different for everyone. When I used ICQ previously, nothing but problems. While using trillian the last few years, contacts never stayed added. Everytime someone would hit me up, I would have to add them again. Plus, I NEVER showed online.....no matter what I did.

its not ICQ's fault that you have 10GB of history and 1000s of contacts saying the same shit again and again -

"why is it taking you 2months to open an account for me",
"what the fuck is wrong with you people",
"why doesn't my card work",
"why is my account frozen",
"why is the site down",
"why does my account show a zero balance now",
"why can't i get through to your support by phone",
"where is my new fucking card",
"so, another bank won't deal with you guys now" and
"hey, isn't it illegal to facilitate offshore gaming transactions for US citizens"

I installed ICQ 6 and most of my contacts were named their UIN #'s, so I have little to no idea who anyone is.. And I didn't want to spend a whole day sorting everyone.. So i went back to Trillian, and voila, they're all the right names.
