Because I (thought) I remember some TGP's had rules where they didnt want stuff on your gallery opening in a new window. ie: pics on html pages, banner links etc etc....
It's a usability and information architecture (IA) question. If you don't want to (or can't because of a rule) open up in a new window then either A) put your 2257 info on the same page as your gallery or B) put a "GO BACK" button or link on your 2257 page so the surfer can easily go back. Make it usable and they will cum.
