I am sorry for your loss.

I've been through the same thing several times.
What I've learned is they're all amazing in their own way. You can rescue another cat from the pound tomorrow and experience the whole thing again.

Putting a fucking cat on the same level as a child is an insult to parents.

Dude ... why the fuck are you such a big asshole ? Have some compassion! Gah.

Yeah, that's what my friend said too.

To this day, I've yet to see a human give birth to an animal. Until then, you can not compare the love of a mother and child to that of a pet.

Yes why wouldn't they? I have a friend who in the past year lost both of his dogs. He had them since they were puppies and they both died at the age of 16. Who would not cry after loving an animal after 16 years? When you love a pet and see it every day, you make a special bond. Not everyone makes that bond, but plenty of us do. I have two dogs that I love very much. They are my babies and I would cry if they passed away. Animals give you love and loyalty. If she is upset by the loss of her cat, then leave her alone. She has every right to cry at her loss.

A lot of children are adopted, so they should not be loved like a child that a parent gave birth too? You don't have to give birth to a child or a pet to love them. I have two dogs. I take them the vet, I take them to the dog park, I watch them play at the park, and yes they are attending a school for training. So I do go to their school functions. Animals are more then just a pet to many people, they are family. Not everyone feels like that, but you should not knock another person who does.

My condolences. I feel your loss. Me and my wife can't have kids so my wife would call our dog (Cuca) her daughter. When we had to put her down my wife cried for weeks. I didn't cry, I hardly cry when a human I know dies, but I had a great sense of loss and was very depressed for a while.

VDB-Design 04-26-2007 12:03 AM

So sorry to hear, I know how it feels to lose a pet and its so bad.

RIP

MikeSmoke 04-26-2007 12:05 AM

sorry for your loss, hon :Oh crap

mine is almost 19. he's been sick since he was 11 and is slowly on his way downhill, he's on three different meds three times a day, he's lost his hearing, has trouble with balance sometimes, and yowls when there's no one with him to keep him company. there are periods when i have to give him sub-Q fluids everyday.
but he's not in pain yet, and he's still the same incredible personality who's been with me through thick and thin for 19 years. when i eventually lose him, i know it will be unbearable - so i feel your pain :Oh crap

Mr. Manson 04-26-2007 12:08 AM

SuzzyQ 04-26-2007 12:38 AM

For what its worth. I kept the remains of both of my Kitty's. At least I still have them. My BF didn't take the passing of his kitty well at all. He kept her favorite teddy bear. It stays on our bed. In the same place she would sleep. Between us....

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I love my cats and will be devastated when they die but thats some serious delusional nonsense right there.

Many years ago my Beagle (Baer) died and not only did I cry, I also drove 300 miles that same day to bury him in his favorite spot. Sunset Cliffs in San Diego! He loved going there to chase bunny wabbits! I love thinking of him in that happy state, he had a great life.

I now have two cats and a very new beagle puppy! It's sad when they die but they are such a joy that you do it all over again when you are ready.

Kiril 04-26-2007 02:47 AM

They said the same things about slaves back in the day...They were to be worked to death because they were animals..

So go back out in the field and pick some cotton nigga.

Damm Sorry to here that. If anything happened to my cats I would be the same!
