I think anyone looking for a job looks in the paper. So you never know. I would like to try the newspaper cause I have a higher chance of finding a new face. I never tryed a agencies before. If anyone had any links to some that would be kool. But also if you tryed the papers which ones have you tryed.

Newspaper ads work great everywhere BUT LA -- best to use an agent

For the most part Mutt is totally right, you will get older skanks, lot of black girls, desperate people living in motels and guys so it is a big waste of time to deal with. But if you are willing to weed through all those people it is possible in some areas to get an occasional young cutie too. It's hardly worth it though for the bother. If you are in LA every agency has a web site and you can just pick the girls out and get on with your shoot, your project and your life.

I've tryed craigslist but no luck. I feel with craigslist you get what you pay for.

Advertising in the papers is always going to get you a lot of problems. you have to win them over and interview them at the same time while on the phone.

But with work you can find gems. Agencies will send you girls everyone else has shot first, unless you're a big spender with them.

well you won't find a new face with an agency - well she might be new but within a month she'll have been shot by at least 25 different photogs/video shooters. so newspaper ad if you're lucky might turn up a nice new face but you'll go through a lot of the types i said.
