All the new content providers that just start-up and crank out the same stuff as every other established content provider is like the guy who opens a burger restaurant right next to a McDonald's and a Burger King.

I completely understand the thread. I also understand what people will pay for.

Reality vids, for instance, are way more expensive to produce than regular stuff -- we produce five, going on nine, of our own, and produce two other series, that didn't come cheaply at all to the buyers.

The average site owner or reseller realizes if they want something custom, they should order custom.

Anyone producing a product -- be it a video, a site, you name it, that isn't making more money than it costs to produce is not doing things right.

Your best bet is to hook up with someone who will shoot you what you want on a regular basis if you are looking to spend that kind of money on a regular basis. Then you really wouldn't be waiting for it,.

dude, you should probably plan you content needs a little farther ahead. and yes, go exclusive. or set up and shoot it yourself. it's the only way you'll get exactly what you want - there are so many more possibilities with quality exclusive. i have over 8 months worth of video shot, edited and compressed at anytime.

The basic problem is the people coming into content providing no very little about photography and less about pornography.

You may be willing to pay $70 a set, but the market is dominated by people who want sets for less than $35. A new Content Provider will only sell a set 5-10 times, somtimes via a broker who take half. So the only way they can make it pay is too shoot 6 sets in a day and this does not give them time to start inventing. A lot will just change the girls underwear or put another cover on the bed.

Videos as if the surfer is getting a blow job, are you telling me you cannot find videos of the cameraman getting a blow job? Every 2 out of 3 I see on the net are like this. You want the girls to talk to the camera while masturbating, try it. Go book a girl and get her to talk while masturbating. Not easy.

Stills exactly what do you want, be specific. I will tell you what can and cannot be done. The white board is easy, consider it done. How big a board?

We shoot for magazines and on the site you will find things that are a little different, But if you want real different and that means I only shoot 1 set instead of 2, or 2 instead of 3. I'm losing money, so expect to pay a lot more.

The bottom line is it all comes down to price, post up the kind of pictures you do want and I will tell you why you cannot find them. But you are right, when we post a set that is different it sells well.

But all these sets cost well over $1,000 to shoot. Difficult to make a profit when we have guys coming to our site and asking for for 50% discount on 8 sets that cost $35-$45. Plus they do not want to buy a set "That is all over the net" they asked to return two $10 sets because they were not new and he thought he had seen them before:BangBang:

You guys want different? Stop buying on price.
You will put out of business a third of the content providers who do not know what they are doing. This will leave more money for the rest of us that can invest in shooting you better sets.

There are some very good reason why you have to register with content providers.

How do we know you are not a surfer just jerking off to free content. 50% of my traffic come from search engines, a lot have just entered "paul markham"

Also we need to update you with our new content additions, something a professional buyer wants as well. ALL professional buyers want to be updated by their suppliers about new products. I need you email address for that.

You may want to just wander around the sites in the hope they have something new, most successful webmasters do not have the time.

Are you done playing the big man? You come to the boards expecting your work to be done for you. You don't want to look for anything yourself. Now you want content providers to shoot content specifically for your needs, but you don't want to pay more for it, and you don't want to spend time setting it up.

All professional buyers want to be updated? That is proably correct but if we want to be updated offer a section inside the site for us to signup for the newsletter, making us give email info etc before we sign up is pointless because we dont know if we actually want what you have> basically its mainly used as a spam tool. Regarding the surfers if they really go to search engines and type in your name I am sure they would have the brains to signup as well because i believe its automated anyway.

I was expressing an oppinion in a non abusive way, I was just suggesting that all content providers do the same thing, I didnt really mention my needs, i expressed what I would like to see. I have had many exclusive shoots done thats not a problem. First point
If you do not want to recieve the weekly update letter, you reply "delete" and you are off the list. Those weekly updates are very important, if we did not do them we would not do the business and you would not have us supplying content.

Second point
There is no fool proof way to keep out kids or the unscrupulous, we make an effort. We check them straight away 7 in the morning till 12 at night.

I am going out this afternoon to buy the white boards and white fabric. Not sure if the white fabric will work, it may mess with the lighting.

We do something slightly different we have our T-Shirts program but are always willing to listen to anything new. In the end it come's down to price and though you say you are willing to pay more. What exactly do you think a reasonable set shoud cost, solo , 2 girl and boy girl?

I can see from most of the new shooters that hit the net, that they know nothing about porn, photos or models. They look at what is around and try to imitate what they see.

They take one look at THIS and realise it's way beyond them. So they look at what the other newbies are shooting and imitate it. A case of bad being copied by worse. They then proceed to shoot 200 pics, because a set need 200 pics. But in reality it's 40 pics cos he shoots every picture 5 times with little or no variation.

A set should be a minimum 100+ pics, and no repeated pics. There are 25 basic poses, 3 stages in the shoot and a minimum of 6 variations to each shot. Without turning the model around. That's 450 pics and not one needs to be repeated.I can shoot a set of 1,000 pics and not repeat the same picture twice.

What these new guys are trying to do is THIS. However they do not see the look in the girls eyes, her body language/pose. All they see is an average looking girl with her legs open. One well established Content Provider, insists on shooting girls with their lips together. It makes the girls look unwelcoming. He even posted "Now I have to worry about what she is thinking?"

Whose fault? Webmasters who do not understand porn and think content is 4th or 5th down on the list then buy on price or cos "He's my buddie". Webmasters have even posted they will never buy from me cos I spam. Get real do you think the surfer gives a dam as he's jerking off, whether the shooter is your buddy or not? Creative people can be what they like, because they are judged on their work. Who gives :2 cents: if Tiger Woods is a nice guy or can put a whole sentence together. It's his work we buy.

If webmasters learnt more about content and worried bit less about traffic and design, their incomes would go up. Think, what did the "Customer" log on to buy? Answer a wank!!

On passwords: I do not create a list of emails. Really. If I have talked with someone and have a specific idea of what they need, or if they are a regular customer who has stayed in touch, I may email people about updates, but I'm not going to email everyone who ever inquired about my stuff. I just don't want surfers to see the photos for free, and dilute their value to those who will buy them later. That would be nuts.

On originality: I was going to stop and check out my stuff and see if it is original, but I have a shoot today so I think I will just get back to work. Let me just say that I got a nice giggle out of that. Yes, a lot of people aren't original... And that's why you can get sets for $15 out of them. If you are looking for distinctive photos, work with creative photographers.

Shooting reality stuff is expensive. Your talking two or more models for hardcore, multiple locations, often outdoors which increases your risk and adds travel time, etc. It also requires a skilled team to produce and skilled people don't work cheap. That's why you won't see a lot of it in the stores, becuase most content producers can shoot two or three regular sets in the time it takes to do one reality set and for less cost. We do it exclusive for customers who'll pay up front for it, not for resale by brokers.

Ease up on him. I think this is a useful thread, because it's giving us CPers a chance to tell people, we can do what you want. But not when the set is only worth $500-$1,000 at that level it's just not cost productive to be inventive.

Raven_XXContent seems to be selling videos that started out on the shelves of the local video store, we're selling sets to magazines first. Both these methods allow us to spend and shoot what is needed. The guys that shoot solely for the internet are never going to be able to compete unless they are a Mega paysite as well.

anyway darren i had managed to find your new program and spread the word around a little on icq. there has been a bit of chatter between a partner as well as a few trustworthy friends... it looks very nice, but i am interested in how you can claim to have a "best converting site" when the site in question isn't even online yet?

We have two levels of content we produce -- Freshphotos quality and purecandyimages quality.

The first is print quality, most of it's presold to popular magazines and we don't sell it cheaply for web use. The last thing we want is for Hustler or Cheri to pay top dollar for something and then by the time they get the mag out and we get paid, it's already plastered all over the web. We also have standing orders with the bigger programs for all new stuff, we ship the cd and the bill every time we have something new. We don't allow this content to be used on tgps, toplists, stuff like that since we do charge so much.

Purecandyimages are not the quality of FP -- they are digital imaging, not slides, cost less to produce and don't go into major magazines.

Video work is another beast entirely but it's tiered the same way.
