YEah I know..

CDSmith 04-17-2007 03:13 PM

Vegas is laying 4 to 1 odds that Sanjaya will make it to the top 4.

Maybe try getting away from the whole sports thing and drop $20k on Americazn Idol. :D

CDSmith 04-17-2007 03:14 PM

Btw, 'lock' is a 4 letter word.

not sure that's a lock. If the warriors win tonight they won't play that final game.

sicone 04-17-2007 04:40 PM

Sounds like a good idea to me

Gambling is a addiction no matter how head strong you are, quiting will not be from how much money you lose it will be from finding another way to release endorphin's or find a way to not need them at all.

True, but it's vs. the Mavs tonight... so I guess we'll see what happens. I hope they make the playoffs finally...

psili 04-17-2007 05:31 PM

Don't be a fucking pussy.
Keep the faith and the huge bets and you'll eventually break the losing streak.

/sarcasm

Actually, I'm not a gambler, so I don't know this: But if you stop for a while, don't you reset your karma-odds or some shit, so you could go right back to another losing streak?

That, and if you want to gamble money, I'm sure I could whip up some business plans to play the odds on :)

Good for you bro..

There was a small network of us TGP guys who would on any given day have 10k of action per day and think nothing of it.

Doesn't even seem like much till you lose it or take a break and look back.

10k a day action for me was a "lite" day.

Yep.. You are 100% correct........

I wish I could get addicted to exercise or work.. That would be ideal.

Ive been distracted as of late with investment properties.. Its been a good distraction.

Before that it was opening a restaurant, and then later a deli casino. It seems the Adult Biz doesn't distract me enough from the gambling bug.. Its just too efficient.

IllTestYourGirls 04-17-2007 06:41 PM

If you suck at gambling, pay someone to do it for you. It is just like very other biz, if you cant do it, let someone else do it for you.

If you still want to do it yourself, I suggest listening to Alan Boston google him and you cant go wrong

DaddyHalbucks 04-17-2007 06:47 PM

Bow to the power..

tony286 04-17-2007 07:05 PM

man I would go get help. Tell you a little story there was this little pizza/italian restaurant we used to go to.The food was great place always packed. One night we go there for a bite and the place was out of business, so we went to the diner next door to them.We found out the guy lost it all gambling. It was so sad he was such a nice guy with a real gift for food and it was gone.

Spunky 04-17-2007 07:06 PM

Good luck man..hope you get that monkey off your back

Xjay7707 04-17-2007 07:07 PM

Thurbs 04-17-2007 09:08 PM

good stuff BP .. a lil break from gambling is always good

JamesK2 04-17-2007 09:15 PM

Nice to hear man, gambling really kills people (financially).

I was addicted myself for years but got my act together now. I play now and then for fun for small money, take part in tourneys etc no more dreaming to multiply my money x100.

lazycash 04-17-2007 09:44 PM

I just figured that when your baby came last year that would be motivation enough to quit, guess I was wrong.

Jim_Gunn 04-17-2007 10:31 PM

For crying out loud, I could never get interested in pissing my money away on gambing. If you have money to burn I could understand blowing it on pussy... whores, strippers, whatever. Guess I just don't have the gambling gene.

montel 04-17-2007 11:10 PM

dont stop now! you know that you can make the money back with a few good bets... dont be a quitter, get back in there!

BlueWire 04-18-2007 12:06 AM

Dont get me wrong...80K is a good chunk of change...

But I'd be more pissed about the time and energy lost where you could have been doing stuff. 3 months of having your head in the sand is a bigger loss than the actual money gone :2 cents:

You read my mind..

And yeah. That was the plan..

The worst thing possible happend to me... I was winning...

Believe it or not that can be a bad thing. Esp for someone wanting to quit.

I wanted to quit when we had the baby. I told myself I wouldnt deposit anymore into the account and just finish out the house money.. I have around 6k in the account at that time.

Rather than withdrawing it I left it in and kept playing. Lasted a long time. Went up and down. Hitting peaks of around 45k at times, and back down to 12 k weeks at a time.

That money lasted months and months with no new deposits. I skimed around 11k out in withdraws after some months.

Before I knew it it had been months and I never quit gambling.
I did stop putting in my own $$, but I never stoped gambling. Had action everday..

When it was gone, i took a couple week break, then redeposited 4-4k and started all over again.

And now here I am.

Exactly.. It consumes you..

You dont notice it unti you stop for a couple weeks and get back into normal things.. ITs like a big catchup game. Getting back to normal.

Long overdue.
