                                                                  Wow! First off I dont sell to the consumer. That is what you do. As I said in my earlier response, if you need content HD we have been filming in HD since 2005 so I have a huge library of HD masters and we also shoot 5 days a week so it grows larger and larger. I can deliver masters or whatever specs are needed. That "nice" promo you saw was another example of what we can do...which is whatever you want to do!

Most of our clients do not want to provide true HD which would be 1920x1080. Mucho bandwidth! We have provided 720 HD to many clients and can do the same for all. This option is not automated on the website due to file size. The size we provide for instant download/ftp are compressed from HD masters and have a noticeable quality difference.                                                                                               I get your point...it was an example of what we offer on the site. When you are working with a library as huge as ours then you have to come up with a "middle road" because not all of our clients want HD or even large files. So we offer the medium on the site. I dont think there are many people out there who buy content that wouldn't ask for what they want. Trust me I spend a lot of time filling custom orders (low-end and hi-end).

If it's an xvid, divx, H.264, or WMV, it's (in my opinion) secondary information. The most important factors to accessing the general perceived quality are the bitrate and frame size. The bitrate and the frame size are the essential pieces of information when discussing the perceived quality of the video.

                                                                                                  Also, implying that 'quicktime HD' (i.e., H.264) is better than WMV, because it's 'HD', isn't accurate. The H.264 codec is used on Blu-ray disc (hence it's 'labeled' as a 'HD') and it's a great form of compression. However, this doesn't mean that H.264 is going to look better than the WMV. At the same bitrate and frame size, the WMV always seems to looks better. Also, the H.264 is also a bit heavy on the processing side (i.e., the 'average' computer would choke on the high bitrate of the H.264, and be fine with the WMV).
