How do you protect C: ?

How do you protect yourself from thieves? If your computer gets stolen, are you safe? Where are your passwords? How about emails? Bookmarks?

How do you handle your security?

WarChild's approach is often the best, except I'd suggest instead of concrete walls you go with the new Laser-7 Defense Grid.

I'm mostly worried about C: since other drives are encrypted. I'm especially worried about my laptop. If it gets stolen, there is just too much information there.

What's the best way to protect emails, cookies, bookmarks, files, etc.?

TrueCrypt can set up a hidden and encrypted partition. If I wanted to run an OS within an OS so that everything on it is encryted, is this possible?

I think Linux can do this, but it sucks for multimedia still. Do you have any other suggestions? Why can't I encrypt the entire drive with Windows?

Can BitLocker actually hide partitions like TrueCrypt?

Not that I'm aware of. No plausible deniability with BitLocker.

I've never been game to encrypt my data - what happens if you have a media problem and need to recover it?

I guess you could encrypt the data locally and store an external "clear text" backup...
