Comcast sucks...I just have to share this conversation with CS

Recently, Comcast bought out Time Warner Cable in my area...and let's just say they simply don't have their shit together here. I went through 2+ weeks of horrendous problems with my high-speed Internet.

It's fixed now and I am happy with it...but not to be outdone, my cable TV went out this afternoon. As of me writing this I am STILL On hold to talk to someone on the phone there...1:46:21 -- almost 2 full hours!

I got sick of waiting so I went online and found I can chat with a customer service agent. Maybe I am missing something but this conversation seemed a bit odd to me:

Sounds like Comcast. Charter isn't a whole lot better.

Comcast support sucks. About a year ago they called me to tell me that I could get digital cable for the same price as the regular. They scheduled appointment after appointment, never showed up, and I just gave up and never got it. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for people that don't work from home and have to take time off work to deal with them.

I hate comcast, they lie about their intro rates and getting the rebates sucks ass. They have ads here for $19.99 (including radio ads) for the first six months but everytime I call the cheapest they claim that the deal is not available in my area, and when I ask "well, what areas is it applicable to?" the mother fuckers won't tell me. The cheapest they will give it to me for is $40 for three months. I told them when they can give it to me at $19.99 for six months AS ADVERTISED get back to me.

Had issues with them for awhile, but it was worth the wait.

Had the exact opposite problem here in L.A., Time Warner bought out Comcast and have had nothing but problems since, they finally fired the guy in charge here.
I found when you threaten to cancel and file complaints with the public utilities commission, service improves and you get better deals.
