    Interesting Imus observation

I personally think Imus is a tool, however I wonder where a 67 year old white guy comes up with the term "nappy headed hoes".

If I had to guess, I would say it comes from the pop culture being generated by entire color spectrum of the hip hop community. I think he was an ass for saying what he did and I am sure he is a bigot and a sexiest. However it would be nice if Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson focused their attention on the roots of the racial issues rather then sitting around waiting to bounce on the next bumbling white guy. He should be addressed, but Imus is merely a symptom of a problem, and their strength and leadership could be far better served within their own community.

Sharpton is as much of a racist as anyone else... down to using terms like "whitey" to make his points.

I suspect that if I looked around, I could find any number of rap songs that refer to "nappy haired hos", and you don't have to go far to find Oprah using the term "nappy hair".

So the question is that they girls have been refered to as "hos" and nothing else? Or is Sharpton going to push to have Oprah fired?

Al Sharpton has appeared on the Chris Rock show (on HBO), even though Chris Rock has made a huge amount of money ragging on about "crazy crackers". (Cracker being a term that Sharpton objected to when Imus used it to describe himself on Sharpton's radio show).

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are media whores, not leaders. They interject themselves into any situation that gets them face time.

Therein lies the problem, they don't have an ounce of leadership ability combined... they're no better than defense attorneys imho
