Lol like this "justifies" anything? Even the report above acknowledges Zarqawi set up his terrorist group in Iraq before the US invasion.
![]() ![]() ![]() You guys crack me up whenever the Democrats declassify a document that only serves their viewpoint. Did you know there are hundreds of other documents that are still classified that suggest Saddam was notified and allowed Zarqawi to get free treatment for his wounds the US inflicted upon him in Afghanistan full well knowing he was the leader of a terrorist group. Besides there were MANY reasons we had a right to invade Iraq. ![]() |

dopey kids.
http://www.intelmessages.org/Message...sages/826.html """Two Iraqi Military defectors, an unnamed former Lt. General and a Captain Sabah Khodada recently gave details of an Iraqi school at Salman Pak which includes training for the hijacking of passenger airliners and other modes of transportation. The former Iraqi General said that there was a old Boeing 707 resting next to rail tracks on edge of Salman Pak being used in terrorist training, the existence of this aircraft has been confirmed by UN. Inspectors. The General, who had been the Security Officer in charge of the camp also reported that there were mixed nationality units including Saudi‘s, Egyptians and Chechens at Salman Pak. Usually about 40 strong, these terrorist units received upto five months of intensive training. However the terrorist units were actually under the control of Iraq‘s Al- Mukhabarat Intelligence Service and in particular a section called the Division of Special Operations. Much of this was also confirmed by Captain Khodada. The foreign fighters were segregated from Iraqi military personnel and Saddam Husseins own Fedayeen, except during certain specific training sessions. The overall training program included assassination, kidnapping, sabotage or hijacking of aircraft, buses, trains, sabotage of public utilities and most importantly of all, in the use of Chemical, Biological and possibly crude nuclear devices. However, the training also included how to prepare and carry out suicide attacks and involved how to get access to the flight cabin, getting weapons on board, security weakness, terrorizing the passengers and crew. Captain Khodada stated " Those ‘Arabs‘ are real volunteers. They come in small numbers, and they come with the intention to do some real suicidal operations. " " It has been said openly in the (Iraqi)media and even to us, from the highest command, that the purpose of establishing of establishing Saddam’s Fedayeen Fighters is to attack American targets and American interests. This is known. There is no doubt about it. All this training is directed towards attacking American targets, and American interests." """""

"[Abu Musab al-Zarqawi] took up residence there before we ever launched into Iraq, organized the al-Qaeda operations inside Iraq before we even arrived on the scene and then, of course, led the charge for Iraq until we killed him last June, As I say, they were present before we invaded Iraq."

On September 8, 2006, "Phase II" of the Senate Report of Pre-war Intelligence on Iraq was released.[24] On page 83 of the report, the following is stated under the heading "Postwar Information on Salman Pak":
?In a response to questions from Committee staff asking if DIA recovered or received information or intelligence, after the raid on Salman Pak in April 2003 that indicated non-Iraqis received terrorist training at the Salman Pak facility, DIA said it has "no credible reports that non-Iraqis were trained to conduct or support transnational terrorist operations at Salman Pak after 1991." DIA assessed that the foreigners were likely volunteers who traveled to Iraq in the months before Operation Iraqi Freedom began to fight overtly alongside Iraqi military forces...DIA said it has "no information from Salman Pak that links al-Qa'ida with the former regime." In June 2006, CIA told the Committee that: There was information developed after OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedem) that indicated terrorists were trained at Salman Pak; there was an apparent surge of such reporting. As with past information, however, the reporting is vague and difficult to substantiate. As was the case with the prewar reporting, the postwar sources provided few details, and it is difficult to conclude from their second-hand accounts whether Iraq was training al-Qa'ida members, as opposed to other foreign nationals. Postwar exploitation of Salman Pak has yielded no indications that training of al-Qa'ida linked individuals took place there, and we have no information from detainees on this issue A November 2003 assessment from DIA noted that postwar exploitation of the facility found it "devoid of valuable intelligence." The assessment added that CIA exploitation "found nothing of intelligence value remained and assessed that Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS) cleaned it out." The DIA assessment concluded that "we do not know whether ex-regime trained terrorists on the aircraft at Salman Pak. Intelligence in late April 2003 indicated the plane had been dismantled. DIA and CENTCOM asses the plane was sold for scrap. |

Nothing exactly "spontaneous" about it (tho one bit was)... Sorry I missed ya Sticky, but got a feeling that drink time will pop up again! There were more relevant and pressing stuff to deal with than yet another webmaster meet (and more money involved) - but ended up having a "social event" but exhausting as hell. We visited... think six countries along the way (including US and Europe) and ended up at Machu Picchu - which is utterly awesome! (Supposed to have went there at the start of the year, but could not go then)

If its classified how do you know about it?
Anyway, a suggestion is only a suggestion, its not fact... anyone can make a suggestion. Sounds like another one of Bush's documents like the one that said Saddam was trying to buy uranium from Africa. Quote:

Hehe.. Na... It's possibly more a sense of balance than anything... Some stuff may seem important, but it's only important to people stuck in the middle of it and who often "think" it is important (and may be to them!). There is far more going on "outside" - some good, bad and some excellent opportunities along the way. When you are used to a certain environment (typical webmaster stuff) - it hits ya in the face how irrelevant a lot of this actually is - same with the classic "US stuff" on GFY. Other folks don't even consider any of this - it's not part of their lives - and a good few live a far superior lifestyle than we do. So.. makes ya wonder sometimes!
![]() It's also prob a total confusion to many folks when they are presented with a scenario where all their daily problems don't exist - they don't care about shit like FIFO scores etc - not because they may be rolling in money (many ain't), but it's not part of their lives. Only my ![]()

This information was leaked when making the case for invading Iraq to the United Nations council. Intelligence is intelligence buddy, and the whole WORLD thought Saddam had WMDs so dont get it twisted acting like this is simply a "Bush" thing. Bush doesnt control the Russian intelligence agencies.

I didnt say that, I said Russian intelligence agencies said Iraq was developing WMDs. I was pointing out that intelligence can be "faulty" no matter what country it comes from and is not exclusive to United States intelligence agencies.
