We visited... think six countries along the way (including US and Europe) and ended up at Machu Picchu - which is utterly awesome! Hehe.. Na... It's possibly more a sense of balance than anything... Some stuff may seem important, but it's only important to people stuck in the middle of it and who often "think" it is important (and may be to them!). There is far more going on "outside" - some good, bad and some excellent opportunities along the way. When you are used to a certain environment (typical webmaster stuff) - it hits ya in the face how irrelevant a lot of this actually is - same with the classic "US stuff" on GFY. Other folks don't even consider any of this - it's not part of their lives - and a good few live a far superior lifestyle than we do. So.. makes ya wonder sometimes! :)

It's also prob a total confusion to many folks when they are presented with a scenario where all their daily problems don't exist - they don't care about shit like FIFO scores etc - not because they may be rolling in money (many ain't), but it's not part of their lives. Only my :2 cents: but met a good few people who live vastly better lifestyles generally and money is not the issue - they just "know better" - and we sure can learn a lot from em.
