What resolution do you solo girls post your pics at?
I'm building a site for a new solo girl site but she can't decide what size pics she wants to put in the members area.
What do users want:
Also, if you size an image so that they don't have to scroll; how do you handle the difference between horizontal and vertical images? A horizontal wil fit but a vertical will be too long and require scrolling. Thankx. |

I think the standard is 1000 to 1200 pixels on the longest side. Most of my clients who have given me access to their members area are using those resolutions. Some sites offer a medium size as well as a larger size image.

1024x768 is pretty standard. Also depending on what kind of CMS you are running you will likely have the option of offering several different sizes that the surfer can choose from.

I dont think 1024 is standard anymore. I see most sites using 1200 or bigger.

1200x800 but i've gotten quite a few members emails asking for bigger - next site i'll do 1200x800 and the huge 3200 pixels long side or whatever they come out of the camera at.

Don't be a cheap ass. Buy a few memberships and do some research. 22% of all sologirl sales are from other sites shopping the competition

I've seen some still doing 640x480, it's fucking sad.
Edit: In their members areas, as the only resolution available...

I don't really see the point in even having images of a higher resolution than your monitor, either horizontal or vetical. It just gets resized to fit unless you want to spend all day scrolling so you can see the whole image.
I run 1920x1200. Anything larger than ~1100 in height is of no use to me. The only use I can think of is so that you can crop the image to only what you want. |

What about displaying different sizes dynamically by detecting the browser resolution, but still allowing the member to choose a different default size?
