R.I.P.

Hopefully it's not an april's fool joke.

Sexsitesurfer 04-03-2007 01:29 AM

Sorry for your loss.

It is great that you enjoyed your time with him whilst he was here!

The Duck 04-03-2007 02:20 AM

I am sorry for your loss, I used to watch his videos and he was a good man. I am sure his conciousness is now experiencing a different part of our multi-layered reality.

gangbangjoe 04-03-2007 02:28 AM

my condolences halcyon

but i know he IS dancing on :)

sicone 04-03-2007 02:39 AM

Sorry to hear about this Hal, I know you and your grandpa were close.

I imagine he would be proud of the way you have chosen to celebrate his life rather then mourn the loss of it..

All my best to you and yours.

TGPturnkeys 04-03-2007 02:43 AM

Hal, I'm sorry about your loss, but surely hes in the best place now!

emthree 04-03-2007 03:06 AM

Best wishes.
He seemed like a cool guy. RIP.

Sarah_Jayne 04-03-2007 03:18 AM

I am sorry to hear that but he is still very much alive through you and the rest of your family. When my grandfather died, somebody who lived a lot like your grandpa, I thought I would be much more upset in the long term than I am. I was VERY sad and I miss him everyday but barely a day goes by when I don't hear his words in my head or something he taught me doesn't come to the surface. With six grand kids that he touched the same way he will never be totally gone...I suspect the same will happen in your life.

Bossman 04-03-2007 03:31 AM

Thank you for the glimpses of Grandpa Caleb - I really enjoyed them!

Gentle_Ben 04-03-2007 04:25 AM

Hal so sorry to hear man. You've got a great attitude about it though. I'm sure hes going on to bigger and better :) Seems to have been an accomplished man. btw, great photo with MLK!

A digital hug for you buddy

But I should clarify that I am not distraught.
There is nothing tragic about the passing of a 94 year old. I held his hand as he left this plane. It was as beautiful a life and death as a soul could hope for.

I feel amazingly blessed.
Thanks for the love.

Wow, thats a great way to think about it

cherrylula 04-03-2007 05:38 AM

My condolences to you and your family. Sounds like his spiritual legacy will live on to inspire people for a long, long time.

LadyMischief 04-03-2007 05:44 AM

Wow Hal... I had really come to adore Grampa Caleb like so many others who have been following the hug nation for so long. He was an inspiration and his spirit lives on forever in the people he inspired. He lived a full life, so his passing although sad for those of us left behind, takes him now another place where I'm sure he is happy to be. My condolences to you at this time because I know it's so hard losing someone who's been such a part of your life, but I know that instead of sadness you are going to celebrate his life as he would have wanted. My life is better for him having touched it, even if just watching him through your videos, Hal. I can only imagine the richness he brought to your life.

SomeCreep 04-03-2007 05:47 AM

Sad, sorry to hear that man.

Ravage 04-03-2007 06:54 AM

Sorry for you loss bro. Grampa Caleb looked like one wicked-fly dude.

Mr. Romance 04-03-2007 07:04 AM

When I saw the video that you posted sometime ago with him on GFY, it was clear where you got your Extraordinary personality of both kindness and greatness. He is more than proud to still have you on this earth changing lives. Best wishes to him and you and your family.

Regards,

Gerard

Sorry for your loss, Hal.

It definitely seems as if he lived a complete and fulfilling life.

Aneros Josh 04-03-2007 10:32 AM

I'm sorry to hear about yours and the rest of the world's loss of a genuinely great human being. Although I never met him in person, simply watching his videos shed a whole new light on the relationship that I have with my grandparents and inspired me enjoy every minute of my own life with those that are close to me.

OzMan 04-03-2007 10:34 AM

Hal, even though I haven't met you, you are one of the very few people I feel confident in saying I am not sorry for your loss without causing you offense because there is no loss only change.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience and boy your Grandpa sure made good use of his time here by the sound of it. Thank you for sharing some of his life with so many people. Living an inspired life is indeed contagious!

My thoughts are with you to get through this difficult time of not being able to see him with your physical eyes anymore but rest assured he will continue to provide positive guidance in your life, only now he will be able to do so much more effectively from his better vantage point where he can see the "big picture".
:thumbsup

Alex 04-03-2007 10:43 AM

You have my best wishes.

Kimmykim 04-03-2007 10:56 AM

Grandpa Caleb's transition from one life to the next is just as well done as his love of this life when he had it. I'm so glad that you were able to be with him when it was time for him to go. What a phenomenal person he was and what an amazing amount of good memories he has given you to remember him.
