People with next gen systems.. (not Wii's)

How much space does a game take up?

On the PS2 you can buy 16 MB memory cards.. now you can buy 60 gig Hard Drives..

The XBOX 360 uses 64 MB memory cards which cost $40 each

The 60 GB PS3 comes with CompactFlash, SD Memory Card and Memory Stick Duo card slots. You can use a USB thumb drive to save games on either the 20 GBor 60 version. Also you can use and notebook SATA harddrive if you wish to upgrade to a larger one. Or you could buy an extrenal harddrive an save games that way.

      I don't understand..

For XBOX 360.. you still got to buy a memory card when you got a built in hard drive? Same with PS3? I know you can buy Memory Cards and Memory Sticks to put in them.. but how much on average does a game take out of the Hard Drive. 3 Gigs? 500 Megs?

The hard drive on the 360 is more intended for stuff you purchase and download off of XBOX Live. They have game demos, movies, full arcade games and more that you can store on the HD. The actual saved game files aren't big at all but some of the domos are up to 1GB or more.

No you don't need a memory card so save games, but say you are taking your game and going to a friend's house who also has a 360. Wouldn't be easier to take a memory card than your 360 harddrive? The 360 memory cards are 64 MB and I would assume you fit several game saves on it. For $15 I can get a 1 GB SD card to use for a PS3. So that would be 16 times the game saves for 1/3 the cost.

You told me what I can use to save my Games on, SD's, CompactFlash.

I was asking how much space does it take to save a game. Can I save a million games on a 1 Gig card or can i save 2?

                  I have a 60gb PS3. I don't think I'll be worrying about diskspace for games...

I doubt it either. I was just wondering how much space does the average game use? Cause they jumped from 16 MB's to 60 GB's.

Regardless of the size, I'll still go with the 60 gig cause it's nicer..
