I really want to kit us out with Mac's sometime down the line. I like the simplicity, I enjoy the OS (more than I enjoy Vista....or XP... by far) .... and I simply want them as our main systems.

BUT...

Mac owners are the ones who stir shit with the whole PC vs Mac thing. You usually find this. It fucks me off.

And why Macare only 4% of teh computer market. If they had been smart the would have licenced their OS out to other computer companies in the 1980's like MS did. Mac cost 15-20% more so the same thing you get in a PC and upgrading options for them is minimal. That's done on purpose so Macheads will have to buy a new one every 2-3 years.

Also the newer macs have the whole damn computer in the monitor so if your monitor gets shot you have to send in your whole Mac for repair. That goes for the webcam too since that is built into the monitor.

Also many sites on the net and many applications say "Not compatable with Mac" So good luck with that.

15-20% ??? Shit ... I dunno where you're getting your PC's from, but you're paying too much if they're only 15-20% cheaper than the same spec mac ! :D

Oh, but the ONLY application I use other than basic FTP and web browsing and IM, is Photoshop. That's it. I don't use my PC for anything else.

I was following your predicament, but this logic doesn't float - your are comparing a brand machine with a BYO. That is not fair, since Apple is a hardware company, not a software company, so allowing OS X to run on any BYO PC would be corporate suicide. If you like OS X, you have to buy a Mac. If you like Apple Macs, then of course you buy a Mac. You can't compare prices on an Apple PC with a BYO PC. Just like you cna't compare a Dell PC with the cost of a BYO PC.

no doubt, im actually posting this right now from my dell demension 3000, the mac is just a toy for me right now, as soon as i get some more money, i'll retire the dell and put my work on a mac desktop... i just recently started using a mac, and love it
