Let's see, none of the teams in the NIT were invited to the NCAA Tournament, the "Big Dance", which starts with 65 teams (yeah, I thought it was 64 too, but I looked it up), so that makes the winner of the NIT the 66th best team in college basketball - I can hear the cheers:
"We're #66, We're #66!!!" Just kidding. West Virginia probably coulda whupped some of the NCAA Tournament teams, and the NIT is fun to watch in it's own right. ADG Webmaster |
