They didn't drop zango because it was the right thing to do. They did it because they couldn't make money from zango anymore. I just feel fucked by the top people in the industry. Pretty much all of them, almost without exception, has been and is currently trying to make people forget that we affiliates have had our links rewritten by AFF.
These are the same people that should be standing up for the industry as a whole and ought to be the first to disassociate themselves from anyone doing anything shady or illegal. Why the fuck are these people standing up for AFF? AFF is without a doubt the biggest right now, but some smart alliances between their some of these people could take a huge chunk of AFF's business away.

The release Lars posted for AFF today is just about the worst piece of bs I have read in a long time. They state that their reason for dropping Zango is that it is no longer profitable for them. Doesn't that mean that they will resume the use of Zango if it becomes profitable for them again? And are they using adware from other companies?
Also, I understand that it is AFF and not Lars as an individual that is doing what they are doing, but he behaves like nothing has happened and either ignores anyone who calls him out or uses his standard "SHEEP" defense, which really pisses me off. He pretty much fucks with our businesses and then tells us that we are too small to matter to a bigshot like him.

They didn't drop zango from any pressure, from any sense of guilty or remorse, and certainly not to get away from scumware.

They stopped using Zango because the clicks got too expensive - which means they were no longer getting a discount by popping crap over their own affiliates.

If anyone things AFF is doing this because of anything else other than the bottom line, they truly missed the deal.

Would I work with AFF? no. I also understand that the majority of people don't give a fuck and they will continue to push them. It's their choice. Money talks bigger than values or integrity for the majority of people in this industry it seems. Point is people are here to make money.

There's a difference of working for someone, and having someone work for you. Lars is pretty good at what he does and that's why i'd hire him. I'm sure a lot of people would love to hire him as well.

AFF isn't the only game in town but you may have to actually do a little work and testing to fine tune your traffic to convert it elsewhere. For some people that is too much to ask...

I agree with you. Fuck a sponsor that fucks with your traffic and doens't give you credit. Drop them. But it's laughable at what has taken place on GFY. A million threads bashing AFF for using Zango. I guess most people aren't smart enough to realize by talking about Zango nonstop on the forums you only make more people aware of that advertising method. Which in turn only drives more advertisers to use Zango to steal your traffic. Sure you're causing AFF to lose some affiliates, but you're giving Zango even more clients to bid on your traffic.

People don't think. The Zango situation is far worse today than it ever was before it was all over GFY every day.
