Please recommend the best PC tool to grab still frames from a DVD disc.

I simply want to pop the DVD my PC's DVD Player and scroll thru it easily and grab frames here and there.

Thanks in advance,
BV

You might be able to do that with VideoCharge. I use it to rip and generate screencaps...not sure if you can view and grab in real time.

yah pretty sure that you would have to rip it save it to disc and load it up in the program

i could do that with vegas

I have 50 DVD'S i need to scan thru quick and grab a hundred or so decent stills

You'd think think there would be something like that out there somewhere. no luck so far for me on google

basically a dvd player with a capture frame button, my dvd player on my pc doesn't have one

VirtualDubMod will allow you to open the VOD file, then use the scrubber to find the frame you want and printscreen.

use frameshots. you open the dvd and set a certain time. like if you picked 10 seconds it would take a screen shot every 10 seconds on the dvd. i usually set it low and go thru and pick the shitty ones and delete them.

Snatch-It (now Frameshots) does this. Just open up the vob files and view them like you would an mpeg movie then pick your screenshots. It does work, I just tried it.
