all the popups says Ads By Zedo on them

is this another Zango type program?

If you download Spybot it will get rid of it, and it's free too

already tried that and adaware, nothing is working to get rid of it

I kind of want to let it run though, to see who all is advertising through it

I think adaware might have gotten it on boot, cause the ads haven't popped up in a while

LOL...my system is now locked down with Spybot, Adaware, MS Defender and AVG

Zedo itself isnt spyware - they are just an advertising company that supply much of the mainstream community

It does sound like you need to run something like hijackthis and webroots' spy sweeper - should get rid of anything in there

I never said it was spyware, but it WAS installed on my pc without my permission and without install prompt

basically, as they seem to say on their site, they are an ad serving company, and from what i can tell, they are serving ads on my computer without my permission, ADWARE....and regardless of what people on gfy say, adaware is just as evil to me as spyware

i think what he is saying is that they probably offer some sort of ad feeds or something similar for publishers... but the actual spyware installed on your computer that is popping up windows, probably has nothing to do with them.

its funny reading sites like theirs. they all have to struggle with the same shit... finding different ways to spin the concept of "we have crappy, over priced traffic and not much of it" into "we are the most advanced, most cost effective ad network in 432 galaxies throughout the universe"

It could have been a delayed popup.

I could program my site to pop a console an hour after visitor leaves my site.

Zedo isn't adware/spyware/scumware. As a matter of fact, its not anything that is installed on your system. Zedo is an ad delivery and ad inventory management system. Its not that different from OpenAds/Max Media Manager (look for it on sourceforge, it works great!). What you're getting are most likely just well coded fade consoles.

I am sure it makes YOU feel better considering I am not a hooker and you are a thief....well, you support thieves, so you might as well be one

how is that illegal business funding going? is it similar to drug dealing? does it give you the same high with all that money?

I love the fact that I asked a question and was trying to learn that translates into "looking for drama" to some people
