    Who owns elephantlist?

    Anyone got the ICQ of the webmaster over at elephantlist TGP? He gets good traffic but continually rejects my *high quality* galleries. Like every fucking time. And whats worse is I see total shit listed. And no, its not something else, like the # of outlinks and shit. Anyone have his icq or know who he is?

                      he tends to reject any post that has other tgp links and if there are any text links to anything other then sponsor he rejects those also and then sometimes he just rejects everything

                              Steve, can I get his ICQ (does he speak english?) ...also..I just checked his list and he lists the sponsor I used in the last few of my galleries (ARS) but they are few and far between. Most of his listed galleries won't sell a single thing tho, so maybe he just requires one big block of pics (which of course, will not sell a single thing). I dunno. Fucken stupid. Someone give me his ICQ - I don't want to continue wasting my time if he will just reject them EVERY time.

                                                  Seriously dude, he is the pickiest there is and he probably wouldn't reply to you if ya did have his icq. Just keep the galls ULTRA clean.... No breaks in the pics... only series... No recips and only 2 links out. I guarantee you'll get listed as long as you're not in direct competition with what he has listed to make himself money.

                                                  AND YES... you still can make sales and stick to those rules. It's not easy but it can be done.

                                                              funny how I can consistanly get top links at elephantlist thru 'picky' Hoffman ... but no links at all from shemp.
                                                              If it's true, what you say the hoffman is the pickiest, then I've gotta ask why isn't shemp more picky :D

                                                              (btw, i can't express enough how being picky is a good thing ... keeps/grows the bookmarkers)

                                                                          I've never had the honor of a gallery on TheShemp, but a few on Elephant list. I think he likes no other tgps recips, his is fine at the bottom of the gallery but no other tgps recips. And like was already said, no breaks in the pics, he has posted my galleries with links to my own tgp before though. He likes all the galleries he posts to have the same basic layout I think. He did return a email from me one time, seemed like a really nice guy. He posted my galleries when I was a newbie and few other big tgps did. Nice guy IMO.

                                                                                                  yeah, I looked at his link list and yeah, he doesn't like breaks in the pics, etc. I guess every gallery that has breaks in the pics are his..hahaha. I guess you can do whatever you want with your own tgp. Glad to know that its not just me then.

Sorry man, but there is no way I'd pass on a guy's ICQ to someone that sounds upset with him. I know I'd be pissed off if another webmaster passed on my UIN and I got ICQ'd by an irate webmaster who was questioning why I didn't link his galleries. These kinds of things are best kept to e-mail.

I can't get listed on his sites - I don't make galleries like that. I didn't get pissed, it's his site, he can do what he wants. In fact, he has to do what he feels is best for his business. You have to respect that. So, I sucked it up and moved on. That's my suggestion for guys who are a little bent that they aren't getting listed at a particular site.

                                                                                                                                          I have spoken to Hoffman before about his listing criteria and I know that it is quite strick but I can assure you that the quality of his traffic (mostly bookmark like the hun) is excellent!

                                                                                                                                          If you are looking for sales then make some special galleries for Elephantlist.

                                                                                                                                          If you fire him an email about this I am sure he would be glad to help you.... and yes he is from Brazil but speaks very good English....

                                                                                                                                          Most of the above also applied to Shemp, except the brazil part! hehehe

I justed "fucken" alot because this is go fuck yourself. Heh. Shemp never lists my stuff either, but I know why. I just didn't quite get why he didn't list mine, thats why I was askin. No harm no foul.

I don't cheat and I don't even post every day. I emailed him twice asking why. I was concerned maybe my host had been down etc.. I was a bit puzzled because of my CLEAN record. The only thing that I can remember is his page went white and to dns error once when I submitted. Oh well...

                                                                                                                                                          I emailed twiced and asked nicely. NO reply. As far as I am concerned if he can't return my email and tell me why then I probably never even did anything wrong.

                                                                                                                                                          I just summed it up to HIS loss and moved on.. IF someone NOT matter how BIG or ELITE they are in this biz don't have enough respect to answer an email, I could care less if I am submitting to their site..



                                                                                                                                                          Anyway, don't worry about that Webmaster ! There are plenty of places to submit your site to and webmasters that YOU can get ahold of..
