Safeway is my favorite grocery store. It's clean, decent prices, and the people that work there don't seem angry at their jobs.

Yes, Sarah_MaxCash (me) is in London and Az_Sarah_Maxcash (her) is in Arizona which would explain why she is eating tomatoes because they probably actually taste like a tomato from the sun and we aren't scheduled to have sun in London for another three weeks or so <g>

I shop at Tescos mostly which is a huge supermarket chain in the UK. They have been doing online shopping for years and I have been doing it that way most of the time. I live three floors up and I don't drive so I am willing to pay somebody £5 extra to deliver it to my door.

I like AJ's deli too, they have an artichoke salad that is unreal!
It is actually right across the street from Safeway, but if I am doing other shopping, Safeway is always cheaper than AJ's for the staples.

When I grocery shop, it's at the best grocery chain in the nation, Wegman's.

I shop for daily groceries at Raley's. Meats come from a butcher though and fish from a fish store.

We have numerous stores here and price wise Safeway is way to high with an illusion of savings via their club card. If you look at the non club card price it is much higher than nearly every other store and with the card it is about the same or a little higher. So I would rather not pay the same price or more just so they can track what I like to buy.

Now Raleys may often be a tiny bit more expenses on some items but typically they are fairly low (not as cheap as winco or food4less). They however have good hours, clerks that greet you with a smile and ask if they can help you out to your car, and honestly one of the best produce sections outside of a farmers market.
