Time to move out of Jonestown...
ADG Webmaster |
I do not feel sorry for people who commit suicide, it is sad but again i do not feel sorry for them.
There is millions of poor people who are just happy to be alive for another day and some stuck up suburb kid dare whines about their life enough to commit suicide? where are the parents? i was raised properly so i do not sit and dwell on complete bullshit. they are always partially to blame, it is their job to provide their child with loving surroundings for their entire life and give them a place where they can come back to and be happy no matter what hardships are in their lives. they wanted an out and they took it, people need to stop trying to put some bullshit medical term attatched to the kids and just realise maybe they were stupid kids who took life to seriously? |
This is really sad.
The pharmaceutical companies have the pockets to keep the media at bay. The first media outlet that came out and said that prescription drugs had anything to do with these suicides would be slaughtered and chopped for sale by morning. Reason # 73,078,938 to move out of the US |
hey howard, thats really really sad and impossible to understand.
remember suicide is not anyones fault. not the parents and not the school, friends or family. suicide is action taken directly by one person to end their life immediately due to reasons usually connected to emotional stress. accept it was their will to end their lives for whatever reason. talk to your son about it, get the emotions cleared, make sure there is always an underlying reason to keep living..life is a roller coaster ride, and it might as well be a fun ride. |

semi true---parents are the ones who allow the drs to talk them into it--problem is people are just so stupid and never use common sense... its not the US--its the greed of EVERYONE combined with the stupidity of everyone else meds--had headaches every day for years--dr put me on effexor 5 years ago--take 1 pill a day--geta headache every few months now only--sometimes it works |

You hung out with me for 4 days and liked me. I make one post that is controversial and all of a sudden I've "got some hate inside." Somebody with no hate inside would never post such a thing. For the record, Howard...I like you as well but that doesn't change the facts or my opinions about suicide or the failing "support systems." I've been down some dark roads in my past as I'm sure most others have. I've lost friends who killed themselves just like your son has. I currently have a very close friend in who is suffering from severe depression and a host of other issues. It would not surprise me at all if they killed them self last night. I do what I can for them to show that somebody cares but at the end of the day, it's 100% up to them. As Fletch suggested, they are also medicated which is something I have always been against. Either you can cut it or you can't and filling your body with chemicals so you can deal with life just doesn't seem logical to me. It's not hatred, it's harsh reality. It would hit me very hard if this person killed them self but life for me would go on. Only the strong survive and suicide is another way of thinning the weak from the herds. Meanwhile, I will stand by them through thick and thin just like I have stood by Amputate Your Head while the rest of this board has shit on him because of his issues. Hopefully I will never lose either one of these people as they both mean a lot to me. |

I always wanted to write a book on how to be a good divorced father. my x wife told me all men suck--fathers suck--she seen hers 2 times since she was 10---because of that when i got divorced my kids were 2 and 5 and i made it my mission in life.
Now 11 years later my daughter who is 13 and son who is 16 are simply great kids. Every person who meets my kids cant believe what agreat kids they are. And I love to have agreat time but my kids always came first.. I have made so many mistakes in life but I have done 1 thing really well and that is being a dad after being divorced. Yesterday i purschaed divorceddads.com and am setting up a forum for where men can sommunicate with each other about isuues with kids..I hope to have it up within 1 month... |

sad :/
I feel bad for the parents and kids...that's a miserable thing to have happen. I'll take a pass on claiming a 'tough guy' brownie point in this discussion. |

if you people give a shit about why kids are killing themselves, start taking a hard look at the parents. and just so everyone knows... its totally normal for these things to be copied. its been studied for years... one action gets attention, more people copy it. a car swerves into oncoming traffic and makes the evening news.... incidents rise across the nation. kids go into a school and start shooting... its all over the news, it then happens again and again... don't take my word for it... look it up. its quite common. why did more kids kill themselves? most likely because of the attention given to the first. stop your fucking boo hooing about it and using words like "sweet 16" to make it sound more tragic. stop talking about it... stop advertising it... start talking to the fucking moronic parents of the world who treat kids like pets who just need to be entertained with MTV so they'll shut the hell up and leave them alone. :2 cents: :2 cents: |
people make me sick sometimes. emotional... irrational and rediculous.

You have your pets watch MTV? |
:( This is sooo sad! :sadcrying
When I saw this, my heart stopped a beat! I got chills! My God, I hope the school , community and most importantly the parent's are REALLY paying attention to this. :helpme Talk, Talk, Talk to the student's! So many parent's think that their child would never do that. Like any thing else, they will! :eyecrazy Watch them very closely as this epidemic is happening!:uhoh My heart goes out to you, your son and all affected by these tragedies.:sadcrying It's a permanent solution for a temporary problem! DEATH is forever! The problem will change! |

but then again, in my idea world, people are also selected for life after passing a rigorous test that includes medical exams, i.q. testing and general personality testing. to have kids, they have to go through extensive training to qualify and be certified (with continual recertification tests) and afterwards, they are monitored and there will be major penalities for the failure of a child - which will be deemed as absolute proof of the failure of the parent and their ultimate act of selfishness in creating one more tax drain on society. |

wish more people would do the same. You know what? i came from a very abusive family. i remember wanting to kill myself when i was not even in my teens. fortuneately, i was lucky enough to understand even at a young age that my father was an inbred, ignorant prick and couldn't really stop himself from being an asshole and my mother wasn't strong enough to stop him or do the right thing. i could have just shot myself. i didn't for fear or knowing that people would have just said "oh... that poor kid.. what a tragedy... he was totally fine today while we were at his sweet 16 party" - they wouldn't have said "geez, his father must have really been a prick and basically killed his own child" |

there always has to be boundaries and limits. thats why there are laws. i need a license to drive a car, i need a background check to buy a gun, i need a prescription for a drug... but if i want to have 10 kids and raise them to be assholes and everyone elses problem, thats totally ok... because society can bear the full cost of my actions and decisions. i might have "freedom" to do that... but i am also forcing the consequences of my behavior on others. thats not fair to others. |

I think it's sad. I mean, if someone wants to off themselves, so be it, it's thier life to do with as they please. However, it's a shame when a young person does it because they haven't yet learned to mentally maneuver through situations. It's a shame how easy it is for some to 'lose control' of thier so called mental stability. The medication can be a horrible thing, or a life saver, the only downside is you don't know sometimes until it's too late.

This is really sad...
